It is a known fact that non-Hindus too, are perpetrators of atrocities against women in India. However, this ad campaign specifically blames the Hindu society for the atrocities. To get their message across, the ad-makers have depicted Hindu Deities in a disrespectful manner. This reeks of sheer anti-Hindu bias ! Can these companies dare to denigrate pictures of figures revered in other religions ?

Since Hindus are insensitive towards their seats of faith, anyone and everyone dares to make mockery of seats of their faith !
Shri Lakshmi Devi in ‘Abused Goddesses’ campaignMumbai : An advertising agency, ‘Taproot India’ while opposing to domestic violence has denigrated the pictures of Goddesses Shri Lakshmi, Durga and Saraswati. These Goddesses have been shown falling victim to the domestic violence. Women are given the same status as Goddesses in Bharat; however, the advertising agency claims that maximum instances of atrocities are committed only against Hindu women. (Rulers, police and social conditions are responsible for the persecution of women in any society. Shri Durga Devi in ‘Abused Goddesses’ campaign
1. This agency has published few pictures of Goddesses Sri Lakshmi, Durga and Saraswati, wherein They have been shown as battered.
2. This agency has made use of these pictures to bring forth the issue of paying respect to women and to showcase exploitation and persecution of women in Bharat. Efforts are made to convey the message that women are not secure in Bharat.
3. A message has been written under these pictures that , ‘Pray that a day should not come that we have to witness such scenes. More than 68% of the women in Bharat are falling prey to domestic violence today. If such instances continue to occur, not a single woman will remain secure in the country; not even those whom we worship.’
4. These pictures have been created for an organisation ‘Save the Children India’. This organisation tries to draw attention to the atrocities being committed against women and children in Bharat. This organisation claims that the instances of sexual exploitation of minor girls are speedily increasing in Bharat.
