Many devout Hindus from Delhi & NCR were joined together and protested against the Anti-Hindu “ Communal Violence Bill 2011" at Jantar Mantar, New Delhi on 5th December 2011. Hindu Janjagruti Samiti, Dara Sena, Shree Ram Sena, Hindu Maha Sabha, Vishva Hindu parishad, Akhand Bharat Campaign etc had taken active part in this protest. Two Pakistani Hindus living in New Delhi had also came for the  protest.

Since many clauses in the bill are in favor of minorities, insecurity within the majority (Hindu) is bound to arise which is likely to result in a rift among religious communities and pave the way for communal tension.

If in a certain area, Hindu population is in minority and an attack is targeted against them, or where the minorities themselves start a riot, this law will not help Hindus. Such is the viciousness of the Bill. Crime committed by the minorities will be prosecuted by the regular criminal procedure, under which the accused person will get released if the prosecution fails to prove the guilt. While according to the new bill the accused person from the majority will be punished.

This bill is nothing but the Government’s new strategy to retain its  vote bank and is against the fundamental and secular fabric of this country and threatens to break us apart. While today this bill is only being seen as Anti-Hindu, in the long run this bill has enough reasons to become anti-national which may have a detrimental effect on the stability of our nation.

In connection with such the draconian provisions of the new Law, Protestors gathered in large numbers and appealed to the Honorable President, Prime Minister and the lawmakers of the country with strong slogans and placards to stop this bill from becoming a law which is not only unconstitutional but a facade under the name of secularism. Protestors also expressed their anger against the individuals who are involved in pushing this draft bill by burning the effigy of the Bill. These points were highlighted by Mr. Suresh Munjal of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti, New Delhi; Mr. Sunil Tyagi (President) Shri Ram Sena, New Delhi; Mr. B.L.Sharma (Ex MLA, Founder- Abhay Bharat Magzine.)
