Ramnathi (Goa), 16th November – Saurabh Lotlikar, President of ‘Ramnath Yuva Sangh’, who constantly talks badmouths Sanatan, had openly issued a threat during a press conference held on 13th November 2014 that he would show his clout if Sanatan Ashram was not closed down. Shri. Veerendra Marathe, the Managing Trustee of Sanatan Sanstha has lodged a complaint against Saurabh Lotlikar; asking the police to file case against Lotlikar and take prompt preventive action against him. Copies of paper-cuttings of Saurabh Lotlikar provocative statements published in different newspapers like ‘Dainik Gomantak’, ‘Tarun Bharat’ and ‘Herald’ in Marathi; as also in Herald in English newspapers have been submitted. A VCD recording telecast on Prudent news channel of the press conference has also been attached to the complaint.
It has been stated in the complaint that…..
1. Saurabh Lotlikar has issued this threat in front of Ponda police station while addressing the media. Before that, on 13th November 2014, he had said in a press conference held at 11.30 a.m. that he would not trouble Sanatan provided all complaints lodged against youth from Varbhat, Ramnathi were withdrawn and he would let Sanatan carry out its Dharma-karya; he would not even take out a march against Sanatan.
2. The above statements of Saurabh Lotalikar are in a way a tacit admission ofthe involvement of him and his supporters in the attack on Sanatan seekers on 22nd October; in throwing petrol bombs on Sanatan Ashram on 6th November as well as trying to set Sanatan’s vehicle on fire and in abusing seekers; therefore, a case should be immediately filed against Saurabh Lotlikar and he should be arrested.
3. Not a single complaint has been lodged so far against Sanatan Ashram by local residents that they were facing problems due to Sanatan Ashram. In fact, many locals come to the Ashram and take part in different seva and spiritual practice.
4. People from Kavale and Bandora also attended Hindu Dharmajagruti Sabha held at Kapileshwari, Kavale. In fact, most of the members of both the Gram-panchayats were in favour of the sabha. Shri. Rajesh Kavalekar, Sarpanch of Kavale had made an appeal in that sabha that other organizations should also take up the mission of Dharmajagruti like Sanatan. He had also said that ‘till one does not visit Ashram and see activities of Sanatan, one has no right to talk against Sanatan.’ He said for the last ten years he has observed the disciplined Sanatan seekers. It shows that the local residents are not against Sanatan’s Ashram or Sanatan’s activities.
5. Statements made by Saurabh Lotlikar are provocative and can adversely affect law and order situation in the area; therefore, a case should be filed against him. An order should be issued prohibiting Saurabh Lotlikar and his supporters from entering Sanatan Ashram area.

Pitiable attempt to avoid action against Saurabh Lotlikar and his cronies
Ponda, 13th November – Sou. Sharmila Lotlikar, a Panch of Bandora Panchayat lodged a false complaint with Ponda police station against Shri. Veerendra Marathe, Managing Trustee of Sanatan Sanstha that he abused her on 12th November 2014 at 5.15 p.m. and issued threats to her life. She is Saurabh Lotlikar’s (supporter of miscreants who have been involved in anti-social activities against Sanatan Sanstha) mother. Police have registered it as non-cognizable offence. Sou. Sharmila Lotlikar has submitted Shri Marathe’s vehicle registration number as proof.
It shows how low these anti-social elements can stoop ! – Shri. Veerendra Marathe
Lodging complaint against me is an exhibition of low mentality of anti-social elements and their supporters. I do not even know the person who has lodged the complaint against me; therefore, my abusing such person or uttering threats is absolutely false. Their mendacity was exhibited even through the representation submitted by them to the Governor on 11th November. Once again, they have shown the same low mentality through their actions now. During the past 15 years of my social service, nobody has either lodged any complaint with police or made any allegations against me. These anti-social elements are disturbed as Sanatan Sanstha has demanded action against them for beating seekers and throwing petrol bombs at the Ashram. They are, therefore, making such baseless accusations. People however, know them and the truth. It is a tragic attempt by such miscreants to avoid action against them but they should understand that criticizing others cannot help them to improve their character.

Issue of anti-social elements beating Sanatan seekers by forcibly entering Sanatan’s Ashram on the day of Narak Chturdashi !
Sanatan Sanstha is not scared of such threats and will go ahead to take on its adversaries, in a lawful manner !
Ponda (Goa), 14th November – Anti-Sanatan Saurabh Lotalikar, President of ‘Ramnathbuva Sangh’, who constantly spews venom against Sanatan, threatened Sanatan while addressing a press conference that he would show his strength if Sanatan Ashram was not closed down. Saurabh Lotalikar said, “It is the demand of all citizens of Goa that Sanatan’s Ashram should be closed down. If prompt action is not taken on our demand, we will take out a march with people from all over Goa. We don’t want to resort to violence. We have support of all people from Goa and people are our strength. If Sanatan wants to go ahead without withdrawing complaint, we will also go ahead and take to the roads with support of all citizens. I will show my strength. I have extensive support in all the 4 constituencies in Ponda taluka. (The anti-social elements with criminal mentality, who talk about exhibition of strength by taking to roads, should be sent to jail ! – Editor, Dainik Sanatan Prabhat)

Anti -social elements attacked Sanatan Sanstha’s Ashram at Goa during auspicious period of Diwali festival. As if that was not enough, they even threw petrol bombs on the Ashram. I, as a Warkari, strongly condemn these attacks. Sanatan seekers always carry out their activities of propagation of spirituality and Dharma-shikshan in disciplined and peaceful manner. Such incidents causing disturbance in seekers’ spiritual practice reminds of incidents from Ramayana and Shriram’s childhood. Demons used to create obstacles in Yadnyas performed by virtuous persons. That time, Sage Vishwamitra had taken Prabhu Ramchandra’s help for protection. Similarly, Bhagavan Srikrushna, who runs the whole world, will now protect seekers’ yandya of spiritual practice.
Saints have said that the purpose of their living is protection of Dharma; therefore, God does not forgive those who harass Saints. He will certainly punish them. We ask the State Government to conduct investigations and arrest anti-social elements; besides providing security to Ashram.
Seekers should note that as forewarned by Saints, the period of crisis has begun. Seekers should concentrate on their spiritual practice. Acharya Kumaril Bhatt, Jagatguru Shankaracharya, Acharya Harshamishra, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, Swatantryaveer Savarkar, were the people who strove for protection and propagation of Dharma and they too were severely oppressed; but in the end, victory always takes the side of Dharma and morality !

We won’t trouble Sanatan; Sanatan should withdraw police complaint ! – Saurabh Lotalikar

- How can statements of Saurabh Lotalikar, who made contrary statements within an hour, be believed when he has lost control over himself ?
- Such statements are, however, proof of his admitting to his offence !
- What other proof does the police need ? Police should now treat statements of these anti-social elements who have been brutally attacking seekers as proof and put them behind bars !
Goa : Before making the above statement, Suarabh Lotalikar had said in a press conference held at 11.30 a.m. in front of Ponda police station, “We will not trouble Sanatan. Sanatan Sanstha has been working for protection of Dharma and let them do that. We will not protest against Sanatan.”
Sanatan has lodged police complaints against youth from Varbhat, Ramnathi and those complaints should be withdrawn, demanded Saurabh Lotalikar on 13thNovember. (By just saying now that Sanatan would not be troubled in future, earlier offences cannot be pardoned. Their crimes are grave, like attacking Sanatan seekers with iron rods; throwing petrol bombs at the Ashram; trying to set Sanatan’s vehicle on fire; lodging false complaints against Sanatan’s Trustee etc. so how can one believe in such anti-social elements with criminal mentality ? – Editor, Dainik Sanatan Prabhat)
Sanatan Sanstha has lodged a complaint with Ponda police about miscreants beating seekers after forcibly entering Sanatan Ashram on the morning of Narak Chaturdashi. In their complaint, names of assailants are also mentioned. In this background, anti-Sanatan Saurabh Lotalikar has made the above demand. Saurabh Lotalikar’s mother Sou. Sharmila Lotalikar, a member of Bandora Panchayat, along with 20 youth from Varbhat and surrounding area, was present on the occasion.

Sou. Sharmila Lotalikar, Panch of Bandora Panchayat, and Saurabh Lotalikar’s mother, has lodged a complaint against Sanatan’s Managing Trustee Shri. Veerendra Marathe. A false allegation that at 5.15 p.m. on 12th November, Shri. Marathe abused her and made life threats against her. This complaint has been registered by the police as a non-cognizable offence. Saurabh Lotalikar informed in press conference held on 13th November that he has demanded that inquiry should be conducted into the case.

Goa police pretend to take action without going to root cause of the problemPolice are informed about the ruffians involved in attacking Sanatan’s seekers staying at its Ashram at Ramnathi; still police are not arresting them. They, however, sit in their vehicle parking it in front of the Ashram as if to show that they are guarding the Ashram. Instead, if police would have caught the ruffians, they could have utilized this time in patrolling some other area. Parking vehicle in front of the Ashram is a superfluous solution like giving medicine to a patient for only cough when he is known to be suffering from TB with affected lungs. -? H.H. Dr. Athavale? Panaji (Goa), 11th November – Shri. Virendra Marathe, the Managing Trustee of Sanatan Sanstha met North Goa District Collector, Neela Mohanan and North Goa Superintendent of Police (SP) Priyanka Kashyap in connection with recurring attacks on Sanatan’s Ashram at Ramnathi when he asked for providing protection and taking stringent action against the culprits. District Collector Mohanan was explained about the attacks in detail, with the help of photographs and VCD. Copies of complaints lodged with police in this connection were also shown to the District Collector. District Collector after hearing details of the case, forwarded the representation immediately to North Goa SP and called for report on investigations conducted so far. SP Priyanka Kashyap has also promised to conduct inquiry into the matter. The delegation of Sanatan Sanstha that met the Government officials comprised of Sou. Meena Kamat, Sou. Rajashree Gadekar, H.H. Pruthviraj Hazare, Shri. Surjeet Mathur and advocate Nagesh Takbhate.
A list of incidents of continuous attacks on Sanatan’s Ashram and seekers submitted
In a representation submitted to District Collector Mohanan and SP Kashyap, it has been stated that Sanatan’s Ashram at Ramnathi, Ponda is a treasure of knowledge and source of divine energy not only for the curious (‘jigyasus’) from India but also from the whole world. This Ashram offers free lodging and boarding to students; teaches ‘Veda-shastras’ as also offers good shelter to the aged. However, Sanatan Ashram associated with different social activities, is being continuously attacked by anti-social elements. Detailed information was given about anti-social elements’ attacks on Sanatan Ashram :
- Forcibly entering the Ashram and attacking seekers on 22nd October, i.e. the day of ‘Narak Chaturdashi’;
- Their creating obstacles in police investigations
- Saurabh Lotalikar creating terror in Ashram area
- Attempts to throw petrol bombs on Ashram on the night of 6th November
- Pelting stones at vehicle of Dr. Manoj Solanki by social miscreants on 9th November 2014
- On the same night, attempts made by them to blow up Sanatan Ashram’s Maruti Omni parked at Rathamal, Kapileshwari for causing loss of life.
In last 20 days, there have been attacks on the Ashram every day; but how police are not arresting any of the anti-social elements nor conducting their inquiry in this regard although all offences are cognizable offences is also mentioned in the representation. The representation raised a doubt against police whether they were taking bribes for not taking action against the criminals.
Suspicion on groups involved in liquor, gambling business and holding Narakasura competition !
Sanatan has no personal interaction with people staying in surrounding areas or with any social miscreants. Sanatan Sanstha has been creating awareness amongst people towards consumption of liquor, gambling and malpractices in holding Narakasur competitions. Therefore, certain group involved in such business is always attacking Sanatan seekers. There is a faction of people living and enjoying life on the money collected in the name of Narakasur competitions. Money involved in liquor, gambling business and Narakasur competition is worth billions; as such, this faction can go to any extent and target followers of Sanatan Sanstha.

Demand made with Police Inspector (PI) C L Patil of Ponda police station to take action against anti-social elements ! Such devout Hindus are true strength of Sanatan !
Mapusa (Goa), 11th November – On the night of 9th November, at about 10.00 p.m., few unknown miscreants tried to blow up Sanatan’s Maruti Omni van with the help of petrol bomb when it was parked at Kapileshwari, Kawale. Shri. Ramesh Naik, the State Chief of Shiv Sena, on hearing about the incident, contacted Sanatan seekers inquiring about their safety and condemned the incident. He also contacted PI C L Patil of Ponda police station demanding to take action against the concerned hooligans, warning him of not keeping quiet if action was not taken.
1. On 9th November, as Shri. Ramesh Naik heard about the incident, he contacted Sanatan’s Ashram to inquire about seekers and obtained details about the incident.
2. While giving his opinion on the incident, he said, “It is condemnable. It is claimed that BJP is a pro-Hindu party; but when Hindus from Sanatan are being harassed, what is BJP doing ? Are Hindus benefited in any way although there is a pro-Hindu Government ? How can police leave venue without informing the organizers ?
3. Regarding absence of police, Shri. Naik said, “Indifference of police is responsible for these incidents. Why did the police not wait after ‘Dharma-jagruti Sabha’ till all members left the venue ? Was it not necessary for police to inform organizers of the program before leaving the venue ?
4. Sri. Ramesh Naik then contacted PI C L Patil of Ponda police station and asked him that how could police leave the venue without informing organizers? How could such incident have taken place ? Sanatan seekers feel sorry even when an ant gets trampled under their feet. It is the duty of police to protect such Sanatan seekers. We will not keep quiet. Police should properly look into the matter and show results. Also, why are police not taking any action when Sanatan-hater Saurabh Lotalikar is openly threatening Sanatan ? Do police need more proofs ?
5. PI Patil told Shri. Ramesh Naik that inquiry would be conducted.
We are grateful to Shri. Ramesh Naik. – Shri. Virendra Marathe, Managing Trustee, Sanatan Sanstha

Ramnathi (Goa), 10th November – Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) had organized Hindu Dharmajagruti Sabha at Panchayat Maidan, Kapileshwari, at Kavale. Sanatan Sanstha’s vehicle, a Maruti Omni, used for propagation of ‘sabha’ was parked on a side on the main road near the venue of the ‘sabha’. After the ‘sabha’ got over at 10.00 p.m., few unknown miscreants tried to set the vehicle on fire with the help of petrol bomb with the intention of causing loss of lives. Banners displayed on the vehicle were burnt in this fire and its door also got damaged; but major loss could be averted as the fire was doused in time. Fire brigade was called. They inspected the vehicle.
Earlier, police staff was present at the venue of the ‘sabha’ and after they left the place, antisocial elements did this job. Shri. Veerendra Marathe, the Managing Trustee of Sanatan Sanstha has lodged a complaint with police demanding filing of criminal case and apprehending of the culprits.

Aggressiveness will have to be replied with aggressiveness ! – Prof. Shrikant Ratnaparakhi, Parashuram Yuva Sena, Jalgaon
It seems that Hindus have been presently divided in two groups. The other group among the two, is of anti-nationals and anti-Hindus, who are full of negativity. There is no use to request them to stop their anti-social activities. Such demonic tendencies have to be squashed. If they go on with such attacks, few pro-Hindu organizations will have to become aggressive. If they are not stopped in time, they can create problem even for other organizations in future. When it is necessary for Hindus to unite against attacks by fanatics, if they attack organization like Sanatan, their aggressiveness will have to be answered with aggressiveness only ! Let us first try to tell rulers to take action; else pro-Hindu organizations are always there. Now, enough of agitations; it is time to take next step !
Attack on Sanatan Sanstha emphasizes need and indication for establishment of Hindu Rashtra ! – H.B.P. Varsadekar Maharaj, Jalgaon
It is wrong to attack Sanatan Sanstha’s Ashram and it stresses the need and gives message for establishment of Hindu Rashtra. Whenever unrighteousness increases in society, righteousness has to be established. Rama had to take incarnation to eliminate sinful Ravana. Pandavas also had to face distress during Dwapar Yuga and now Sanatan seekers are going through similar harassment. It is the sign of end of anti-social elements coming near. Sanatan Sanstha has been undertaking all activities in lawful manner. Despite facing 3 attacks in different manner, the Sanstha has not deviated from the path of peace which shows seekership qualities amongst seekers. H. H. Dr. Athavale has been working ceaselessly for establishment of Hindu Rashtra and still Hindus are only creating problems for him which is most inappropriate. Every person who loves his/ her Dharma will condemn such attacks. The Government which sought Hindus’ votes in the name of ‘Hindutva’, set up Government with the help of Hindus, should take serious note of these events and take care that such incidents did not recur !
It is an action of cowards, it is wrong to attack a Hindu organization and such attacks should be condemned by every level of society ! – Shri. Hemant Chaudhary, District President of Patanjali Yoga Samiti and State working committee member, Jalgaon

Petrol bomb found in trees near Ashram
Goa police examining petrol bomb found in trees
Ramnathi Ashram, Goa, 9th November – In the night of 6th November 2014, at about 9.45 p.m., few anti-social elements tried to throw 2 bombs made with petrol and kerosene from the East side of Sanatan’s Ashram, located at Ramnathi. Owing to dense trees on this side, the bombs did not reach Ashram’s premises and got caught in trees. Detailed sequence of events is as given below.
1. Initially, two small fire-balls came from side of the Ashram falling in the trees at some distance from the Ashram.
2. Immediately, there was a big fire and smell of petrol spread everywhere.
3. Three seekers saw the fire from third floor of the Ashram.
4. Ponda police station was immediately informed by Ashram management as the fire-balls were observed.
5. Police came to the Ashram and investigated. They said that there was smell of kerosene. Police said that it was not possible to go in search in the night to the place from where the fire-balls were thrown. Police patrolled Ashram area for whole night.
6. On 7th November 2014 at 9.00 a.m. police went to the place where petrol bombs were thrown and they found one petrol and one kerosene bomb.
7. One bomb had not burst; but it was observed that explosive filled in the bottle had exploded whereas the other bomb was live. Police did ‘Panchnama’ and confiscated both the bombs.
8. From the place of incident, at a distance of about 15 metres, there is a private road of Ashram which is constantly used by seekers and even vehicles are parked on this road.
It is danger to life of seekers who are staying in Ashram
9. In November 2009, anti-social elements had thrown soda-water bottles and stones from the same side causing harm to the Ashram.
10. Police have been appealed to promptly find the culprits and severe action should be taken under the laws, by filing cases against them.

Earlier, police had taken one driver, one auto-rickshaw-driver and other 2 suspects into custody for inquiry; releasing them afterwards. Police Inspector C. L. Possibility of attack by hired goons on Sanatan’s ashram at Ramnathi (Goa)
October 31, 2014
Kartik Shukla Paksha Ashtami, Kaliyug Varsh 5116
Reliable sources have released information that a plot is being hatched to attack Sanatan’s Ramnathi ashram using hired goons the next couple of days. Few anti-social elements, who are residents of Varbhat, Kavale, vandalized the premises of Sanatan Ashram on Narak Chaturdashi this year (22nd October). The local crowd had pressurized police so they avoided taking action against the culprits. A mob supporting these antisocial elements even made rounds in front of the Ashram to create terror in the area. Saurabh Lotlikar, who supports the attackers, even told the media that local residents would be demanding in the ‘Gram-sabha’ that they did not want Sanatan’s Ashram in the area and they would be submitting a representation to that effect to the Government. So far no one has been arrested in connection with the attack. There is possibility of a similar attack being effected through hired goons for pressurizing the Ashram as local hooligans could be nabbed easily if they carried such attack again. The safety of seekers, other material, equipment etc. therefore, is in danger as these hired goons can enter the Ashram, manhandle seekers and damage ashram material. As such the Ashram management has requested the State Chief Minister, Shri. Manohar Parrikar; local MLA Shri. Sudin Dhavalikar; Inspector General of Police, Superintendent of Police (North Goa) and Dy. Superintendent of Police, Ponda to promptly ensure security arrangements for protection of seekers and the Ashram.

Submit a full report of attack on Sanatan Ashram to the NIA – Sanatan Sanstha’s demand to North Goa Police IG

Kartik Shukla Paksha Tritiya, Kaliyug Varsh 5116
Ramnathi – On 22nd October, a group pf youth (from Varbhat, Kavlem) returning from a Narakasur effigy competition tried to forcibly drive their truck (bearning registration GA-02 U5004) into the Ashram premises. This was done with the intention of burning the Narakasur effigy in the compound, thereby creating fear and panic in the minds of the seekers. They were accompanied by 25-30 youth carrying iron bars and sticks. This group of youth deliberately disturbed the peace in Ashram and the area surrounding it. Sanatan Sanstha has appealed to the North Goa Police IGP to submit a full report of the incident to the NIA, to investigate this terrorist activity (which comes under the purview of UAPA).
The memorandum submitted by Sanatan Sanstha states that Sanatan Sanstha has been initiating a campaign constitutionally against the malpractices noticed during various festivals since last 14 years. Sanatan Sanstha along with like minded organizations have submitted petitions to the Government about the ill-effects of the malpractices in the tradition of burning the effigies of Narkasur. Some of the concerns raised by Sanatan Sanstha are that such activities create accidents (due to oversized effigies), traffic obstruction, extortion by waylaying people, burning the effigies on roads, altercations, fights under the influence of liquor, etc. Therefore some anti-social elements, who favour the acts described above, are targeting the people who act as per the guidance given by Sanatan Sanstha.
There is a big class in the Society acting as per the guidance given by Sanatan Sanstha. These miscreants try to create terror among these followers of Sanatan. Since this comes under the purview of terrorism laws, its investigation should be done by NIA. Please take the note that, it is also mandatory that the information of this kind of act has to be given by the local police officer to NIA within 48 hours as per the law. Hence after submitting the report of the said incident with details to NIA, let the investigation be done.

Goa : Anti-social elements attack Sanatan’s Ashram in the early morning of ‘Narak Chaturdashi’
23 October 2014
Miscreants forcibly enter ashram premises and beat seekers with sticks, iron bars and stones, damaging many things from ashram
On 22nd October 2014 at about 5.30- 6.00 a.m. a group of young men from Kawale, who had taken part in the competition of burning effigy of Narakasur, entered Sanatan’s ashram premises and beat up seekers with stick, iron bars and stones. They damaged earthen pots with plants kept in the premises. Four seekers have been injured and gold chain of one seeker has been snatched away. Information about such attack was given to police patrolling the area; but the social miscreants ran away before police reached the place of incident. Shri. Veerendra Marathe, Managing Trustee of Sanatan Sanstha has lodged a complaint with Ponda police station.
Attack by anti- social elements – Sequence of events
1. A group of young men participating in the competition of burning effigy of Narakasur came in a vehicle with registration no. GA-02-U-5004 and tried to force entry in the ashram. There were about 25-30 young men with them. Some of them carried iron bars and sticks. The group tried to forcibly drive the truck in the ashram, along with effigy of Narakasur so as to create terror and disturbing peace of the ashram.
2. Shri. Suresh Kadam, a seeker was sweeping the premises at that time; when the group attacked him and one man slapped Shri. Kadam very hard under his right ear. The men abused him and started kicking his stomach. As a result, Shri. Kadam fainted and fell down hurting himself near his right eye. He has been admitted to hospital for severe stomach pain.
3. Another seeker, Shri. Umesh Gowda saw this and went where Shri. Kadam was being beaten up. The hooligans pushed him on the ground with the intention of creating pandemonium. They were abusing Shri. Gauda and tore off his clothes. Shri. Umesh Gauda started shouting for help when other two seekers, Shri. Surjeet Mathur and Shri. Persons attacking Sanatan ashram at Ramnathi, Goa should be immediately arrested ! – Anand Rajput, Shiv Sena
Miraj (Maharashtra) : ‘ On behalf of Shiv Sena, I condemn the incident which took place on 22nd October morning, when miscreants forcibly entered Sanatan ashram and beat up residents of ashram with sticks, iron bars and stones. A spiritual and pro-Hindu organization that is working at national level for protection of Hindu Dharma was attacked in such manner which is very shocking not only for the State of Goa but for everyone. Such kind of incident is not expected to occur especially in a BJP-led State. The concerned persons entering ashram and attacking its residents should be immediately arrested and thorough investigations should be carried out. I am making this demand on behalf of Shiv Sena’, said Shri. Anand Rajput, the festival committee chief of Shiv Sena.
