 1. On the day of ‘Gou-ashtami’, Saint Gopaldas Maharaj, savior of cows, staged demonstrations at ‘Jantar Mantar’ against cow-slaughter. This agitation was staged for asking BJP Government to implement Act against cow-slaughter all over India. (Why do Saints have to stage such agitations in BJP’s regime ? Or should Hindus feel that BJP was supporting cow-slaughter ? – Editor, Dainik Sanatan Prabhat)

 2. Many Saints, Mahants, representatives of pro-Hindu organizations and patrons of cow took part in the demonstrations in large number.

 3. After staging demonstrations, Saint Gopaldas was going towards ‘Sansad Bhavan’ with some of the ‘Gou-rakshaks’ and at that time, police stopped him.

 4. Police started kicking him as he tried to go towards ‘Sansad Bhavan’. Even the ‘Gou-rakshaks’ accompanying Maharaj were brutally cane-charged by police.

 5. Many pro-Hindu organizations and ‘Gou-premis’ condemned such ‘Razakari’ act of Delhi police.

Today, we have to face their cane-charging for our demand of ban on cow-slaughter after canvassing for votes for Modi Government ! – Saint Gopaldas Maharaj

Saint Gopaldas was earlier given similar treatment by police while fighting for protection of cows. Giving his response, he said, “Today, I feel as if I am totally let down because I went door to door canvassing for Modi Government; went to people asking for votes for Modi and today, not only I have to bow before the same Government for prevention of cow-slaughter; but I have to even take thrashing from them for bowing. I was reminded of what late Rajeev Dixit had said looking at such inhuman manhandling of devotees of cows by police. He had said that even if you oust one Government, another Government would take over; but Indian Penal Code would be in force as it is and police would beat up only patriots. Now, pray that let ‘Gou-mata’ open eyes of these people.”
