The entire world is heading toward war. In India, jihadi terrorists are killing Hindus and dragging the nation toward conflict. In such times of war, we must understand that every citizen is a soldier. From Divine incarnations like Shri Ram and Shri Krishna to greats like Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj and Maharana Pratap, all had to wage war to end injustice that the people were facing. In this noble endeavour, they also received guidance from their Gurus.
This highlights that the Guru-disciple tradition is essential even for the protection of the nation. The Hindu Janajagruti Samiti has recognised this need and resolved to celebrate this year’s Guru Purnima in a way that promotes patriotic values. Participate in this celebration as much as you can and express your gratitude toward the Guru parampara!

गुरुपूर्णिमा का अधिकाधिक लाभ उठाने के लिए आवश्यक प्रयास

गुरुमंत्र का या कुलदेवता का अधिकाधिक नामजप करना
गुरुपूर्णिमा महोत्सव में सम्मिलित होकर अधिकाधिक सत्सेवा करना
सेवा के अंतर्गत प्रत्येक कृति भावपूर्ण व परिपूर्ण होने के लिए प्रार्थना व कृतज्ञता व्यक्त करना
गुरुकृपा पाने के लिए आवश्यक गुण, तीव्र मुमुक्षुत्व; अर्थात गुरुप्राप्ति के लिए तीव्र उत्कंठा, आज्ञापालन, श्रद्धा व लगन बढाने का दृढ निश्चय करना
गुरुकार्य के लिए धन अर्पण करना
गुरु को अपना सर्वस्व अर्पण कर देना ही खरी गुरुदक्षिणा है, यह ध्यान में रखना और वैसी कृति करने के लिए प्रयास करना
कालानुसार उचित साधना कर जीवन को सार्थक करना

गुरुपूजन

आषाढ पूर्णिमा को गुरुपूर्णिमा कहते हैं । गुरुके प्रति कृतज्ञता व्यक्त करने हेतु प्रत्येक गुरु के शिष्य इस दिन उनकी पाद्यपूजा करते हैं एवं उन्हें गुरुदक्षिणा अर्पण करते हैं । गुरुपूर्णिमा मनाने का उद्देश्य केवल गुरु के प्रति कृतज्ञता व्यक्त करना नहीं होता । इस दिन गुरु का कृपाशीर्वाद तथा उनसे प्रक्षेपित होनेवाला शब्दातीत (शब्दों के परे) ज्ञान सामान्य से सहस्र गुना अधिक होता है ।
