Samarth Ramdas Swami’s disciple, Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj was fighting against the Mughals. The Mughals realised that it was not possible for them to defeat Shivaji Maharaj on the open battlefield. So, they decided to kill him by the use of Aghori (A practice of worshipping Energies in order to attain supernatural powers) rituals. One of the Mughal soldiers was successful in sneaking into Shivaji Maharaj’s fort. He reached the chamber where Shivaji Maharaj was sleeping. He drew his sword. However, as soon as he tried to strike Shivaji Maharaj, someone caught his hand. The Mughal soldier said to himself, ‘By the use of magic spells I was able to successfully reach Shivaji’s room, but now who is holding my hand and stopping me? ‘ Suddenly he heard a voice saying, ‘The one whom you worship helped you to reach this room; so don’t you think that the one whom Shivaji worships will save him from you? ‘
As the Guru that Shivaji Maharaj worshiped was sattvik (pure), the enemy’s supernatural powers turned out to be of no use to him to harm Shivaji. In this way, God protected Shivaji Maharaj.
