सोमालिया : राजधानी मोगादिशू येथे राष्ट्रपती भवनजवळ आणि एका हॉटेलसमोर अशा २ ठिकाणी दोन चारचाकी वाहनांमध्ये झालेल्या बॉम्बस्फोटांत १८ जणांचा जागीच मृत्यू, तर २० जण घायाळ झाले आहेत. घायाळांपैकी अनेकांची प्रकृती गंभीर असल्याने मृतांचा आकडा वाढण्याचीही शक्यता आहे, अशी माहिती पोलीस कॅप्टन महंमद हुसैन यांनी प्रसारमाध्यमांना दिली.
सरकारने एक दिवस आधीच आतंकवादी आक्रमणाची चेतावणी दिली होती आणि लगेचच दुसर्‍या दिवशी हे दोन स्फोट झाले. ‘अल् कायदा’ या आतंकवादी संघटनेशी संबंधित ‘अल्-शबाब’ या आतंकवादी संघटनेने या स्फोटाचे दायित्व स्वीकारले आहे. गेल्या वर्षी ऑक्टोबर आणि डिसेंबर २०१७ मध्येही याच आतंकवादी संघटनेने आक्रमण केले होते. त्यात अनुक्रमे ५१२ नागरिक आणि १८ पोलीस यांचा मृत्यू झाला होता.
