A 15-day Shaurya Jagriti Varg held by the Hindu Janajagruti Samiti recently concluded at Omali village (Chiplun taluka) here. The participants were awarded with certificates at the concluding ceremony. The people of this village had requested for this workshop during the Gadapujan on Hanuman Jayanti. This workshop, which concluded on 23rd May, saw the participation of 18 devout Hindus. The participants were taught various self defence techniques, karate moves, nunchuks, and wielding the lathi.
Mr Vinayak Kangane, Mr Anant Pawar (former Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh activist), Mr Vikram Salunkhe, Mr Yashwant Sawant and Mr Shivaram Salunkhe graced the concluding program.
