Union Government invites public suggestions regarding Waqf (Amendment) Bill 2024

  • Deadline: September 10

  • Public awareness campaign by Hindu Janajagruti Samiti

Mumbai : The phrase ‘Once Waqf, Always Waqf’ clearly illustrates the horrifying nature of the Waqf Act. A judge of the High Court once made this statement, highlighting the seriousness of the law. The Union Government has taken a step to repeal the Waqf Act. A Joint Parliamentary Committee has been formed for this purpose, and the Government has called on the public to share their views on this law. In this regard, the Hindu Janajagruti Samiti has launched an online petition, and so far, over 1,25,000 Hindus have demanded the repeal of the ‘Waqf Act, 1995’.

Hindu Janajagruti Samiti also issued a public appeal through online media, urging Hindus to send their opinions to the Government.

Aurangzeb or Nizam did not bring any land, it is the land of India : Hindu Janajagruti Samiti

The Samiti’s National Spokesperson, Mr. Ramesh Shinde, released a video in which he stated that the Union Government has introduced the ‘Waqf (Amendment) Bill 2024’ to curb the ongoing Land Jihad through the Waqf Act. The Government has sent the draft of this Act to a Joint Parliamentary Committee, which has invited all citizens of India to express their views on this law. If Hindus do not want their villages and temples to be gulped by the Waqf Act, they must send their opinions to the Government. There is an ongoing conspiracy to take over ancient temples, such as the 1,400-year-old temple in Tamil Nadu and the Jain temple in Udupi, through the Waqf Act. This land is being seized by the Waqf Board through the District Collector. Despite already having 8 lakh acres of land, the Waqf Board still seeks land from the Government to build mosques. Aurangzeb or Nizam did not bring any land with them; it is India’s land, and the Indian Government holds authority over it. Therefore, to thwart the Waqf Board’s conspiracy, people should send their views to the Joint Parliamentary Committee addressing Jagdambika Pal.
