Issue of embezzlement of funds by Shri Tuljabhavani Temple Management

Dharashiv : A report by Shankar Kengar, District Police Chief on the embezzlement by Shri Tulja-bhavani Temple Management prepared in September 2017 was submitted to the Aurangabad Bench of Bombay High Court. On 9th May 2024, the Bombay High Court ordered filing of criminal cases against 16 accused for misappropriation of temple funds to the tune of Rs 8.50 crores.
Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) has filed a petition with the Aurangabad Bench of the Bombay High Court since no action has yet been taken on the order; this also amounts to contempt of Court. HJS submitted a memorandum to Mr Sanjay Jadhav, Dharashiv Police Superintendent demanding prompt filing of criminal cases against the accused as ordered by the Court.
Immediate action will be taken after receiving instructions from the Collector : Superintendent of Police
SP Sanjay Jadhav said that the High Court has directed the District Collector to take action; therefore, immediate action will be taken on receiving instructions from him.
