Kudal (Maharashtra) – On Oct 16, 2024 HJS conducted a first aid camp for the staff of Aradhya hotel at Nemale in Kudal taluka here. The owner of the hotel Mr Uday Parale, as well as manager Mr Amit Sawant and 20 members of the staff participated. Mr Amit Sawant inaugurated the camp by offering worship to an image of Shri Krishna. Mrs Shyamal Karangutkar apprised the attendees of the Samiti’s mission and work. Mrs Anushree Gavaskar provided practical guidance on the importance of first aid in life, treating a person who had lost consciousness or had gone into cardiac arrest etc. Mrs Shilpa Sonsurkar and Mrs Shyamal Karangutkar then assisted the hotel staff in practicing first aid. The staff expressed interest in receiving further training in first aid.
Highlights
1. The staff said that they learned not to sprinkle water on someone who had lost consciousness and what to actually do to help such a person.
2. Mr Uday Parale, the hotel owner, asked that his staff be provided monthly classes on first aid. He also purchased a set of books on first aid and posters on first aid demonstrations for the hotel. He believes that his staff as well as guests will benefit from them.
