The ‘Maharashtra Mandir Mahasangh’ has appealed that similarly, trustees and temple administration of other temples in the state should also decide to apply tika on foreheads.

In Hinduism, applying tika on the forehead has special spiritual significance. By applying tika on the forehead, the devotee not only receives the energy and blessings of the deity but it also helps to increase devotion towards that deity. Mandir Mahasangh has stated that all other temples will follow this practice inspired by Shri Siddhivinayak Temple’s initiative.
