HJS organises guidance on spiritual practice and self-defence for women of the Patidar community in Sawantwadi (Maharashtra)

Sawantwadi : A one-day camp was organised at the Patidar Samaj hall here jointly by the Sawantwadi Patidar Samaj and Hindu Janajagruti Samiti under the aegis of the South Maharashtra and Goa Pradesh Patidar Samaj. In the morning session of the camp, there was a lecture on ‘Spiritual Practice for a Happy Life’ and the second session included demonstrations and guidance on self-defence techniques for women under the ‘Nari Shakti’ initiative. In this programme, Mr Sharad Raul spoke on ‘Spiritual Practice for a happy life’ and Ms Parab guided the audience on ‘Self-Defence as the need of the hour’. Over 80 girls and women of Patidar community from Malvan, Vengurla, Kudal, Sawantwadi and Dodamarg of the Sindhudurg district were present. The attendees asked for monthly classes on spirituality and self-defence.
