Hindu Rashtra-Jagruti Andolan at Ghatkopar
Mumbai – The Indian government should stop submitting representations and resort to firm steps to protect the Hindu minority in Bangladesh, asserted Mr Satish Kochrekar, Mumbai Spokesperson of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti. He was addressing the Hindu Rashtra-Jagruti Andolan organised by the Hindu Rashtra Samanvay Samiti near Ghatkopar (West) railway station to protest the atrocities on Hindus in Bangladesh and the arrest of Chinmoy Krishnadas Prabhu. Hindu Rashtra Sena, Vrajdal, ISKCON, Sanatan Sanstha seekers and Hindu Janajagruti Samiti volunteers were present in large numbers on this occasion.
The Hindus participating in the agitation enthusiastically raised slogans. Signatures were collected from citizens on a statement to be submitted to the Central Government asking the Indian Government to intervene to stop the atrocities on Hindus in Bangladesh.
Terminate trade relations with Bangladesh – Dinesh Kondwilkar, Vrajdal
When Bangladesh was in dire straiys, ISKCON distributed food without looking at their religious identity. But today there are rumours of banning the same organisation. Chinmoy Krishnadas Prabhu will be tried for sedition. Hindu organisations are being deliberately targeted in Bangladesh. The Indian government should exert pressure on the Bangladesh government to ensure their safety. Protests should be held across the country to make our voice reach the central government. The Indian government should terminate trade relations with Bangladesh. We should also stop playing cricket with them.
Is it a crime to do humanitarian work? – Santosh Ganjale, devout Hindu
ISKCON did great humanitarian work in Bangladesh, but is it a crime to do so? The happenings in Bangladesh should spark protests in every village across the country. The Indian government should also take immediate efforts and act against Bangladesh.
This saffron spark from the agitation should spread all over India! – Rajshree Palande, former corporator, Chembur
Hindus should remember that ‘if Dharma survives, culture will survive and if culture survives, our world will survive’. From now on, Hindus should set aside the idea of equality of all religions and know how their Dharma is superior and become active to protect it. The spark that we have ignited through this agitation should be spread all over India. Hindus should unite so that such a situation does not arise in our country.
Mr Prasad Mankar of the HJS, Mrs. Dhanashree Kelshikar of Sanatan Sanstha and Praveena Patil also expressed their views. Ghatkopar West BJP Mandal President Mr Anil Nirmale, Hindu Rashtra Sena Mumbai District President Mr Prakash Sawant and other dignitaries were present for the agitation.
