Authorities must act to prevent opposition to saints
Prayagraj : Atheists and secular individuals are coming to the Maha Kumbha Mela and disrespecting the faith of crores of Hindu devotees by mocking Deities and propagating anti-Hindu sentiments. How do these individuals dare to carry out such acts when crores of devotees gather here for the sacred Amrit Snan? Could this be part of a larger conspiracy? Are they planning to disrupt the event? The Kumbha Mela administration must take note of such activities and deny them any space at the venue.
🚩No one calls it superstition during festivals or celebrations of other religions except #Hinduism. No one calls it superstition during Bakrid or Christmas.

Naga sadhus have opposed these atheists in their own way, but to ensure that saints do not face such opposition, the administration must intervene. This demand was made by Mr Sunil Ghanwat, organiser for Maharashtra and Chhattisgarh, Hindu Janajagruti Samiti.
On 16.1.2025, during the ongoing Maha Kumbha Mela at Prayagraj, atheists were seen propagating that the Kumbha Mela is a superstition. Upon noticing this, the Naga sadhus took strong action and confronted the atheists. Reacting to this incident, Shri Sunil Ghanwat said:
“The Maha Kumbha Mela is a place of faith for crores of devotees. Despite this, some individuals dare to come here and speak against Hindu Dharma, calling the Kumbha Mela a superstition. After such statements, the Naga sadhus and other saints opposed them in their own way.
How can anyone call the Kumbha Mela—a place of devotion for crores of Hindus—a superstition? No one dares to call Bakri Eid a superstition during its observance or criticise Christmas traditions such as lighting candles as superstition. Yet, at the Kumbha Mela, venomous hatred against Hindu Dharma is spewed.”
