HJS protests: Sharma’s painting withdrawn,Mumbai Mirror apologises!

Mumbai Mirror has apologized for news. A delegation of the Hindu Janajagruti Samiti today met the organizers of the Art Exhibition held at Mumbai’s ‘Articulate Gallery’ where a painting of Lord Hanuman, by an artist Dilip Sharma from Rajasthan, was on display. The delegation brought the wrong doing to the notice of the organisers following which the manager of the art gallery immediately issued an order to remove the painting from among the exhibits. Lord Hanuman denigrated through play!

The original name of Marathi play ‘Makadachya haati champagne’ was ‘Marutichya haati champagne’; but devout Hindus protested against the name and it had to be changed. In a issue of ‘Saptahik Chitralekha’, Dr. Vivek Bele, the author of the play has said that the name of Maruti was given originally because according to him, today’s power-hungry politicians are like that of Hanuman in Ramayana. SC ends row over Shivaji book

The Supreme Court has quashed the criminal proceedings against American historian and professor James W Laine, against whom the Maharashtra police had filed an FIR for “defaming” Maratha king Chhatrapati Shivaji and “attempting to disturb the communal peace and harmony” through his controversial book, Shivaji, Hindu king in Islamic India.

An Exhibition of paintings by Painter Shri. Dileep Sharma has been arranged in the Articulate gallery at Fort. This exhibition will continue upto 15th of April. In one of his painting Shri. HJS complaint against ‘Indian Express’, PCI to take action

‘Saffron Art Gallery’ held an exhibition of paintings by anti-Hindu painter M F Hussain. HJS opposed the holding of such an exhibition. Indian Express called HJS members as ‘rabble rousers’ and termed them as fundamentalists in their article. HJS has therefore, filed a complaint with Press Council of India (PCI). Read more »

The Three Martyrs

The three brave young men who challenged the British Raj and fought for the Independence of their motherland, Bharat, were hanged by the neck by the British Indian government on 23 rd March 1931 in the Lahore central jail. Against all rules, the hanging was done in the evening at 7.33 P.M.
