An Act is going to be passed by the State Government called as ‘Maharashtra temple and Religious Institution act (Management and Regulation) Act’. All religions have raised objection to this Law. Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) learnt about the desecrated picture of Lord Ganesh displayed by the organizers of ‘Frankfurt Book Fair 2006’ held in Germany in October 2006. HJS immediately wrote to the Director, ‘National Book Trust India’, New Delhi registering protest against such mockery of Lord Ganesh and it also started an ‘Online’ protest drive on its website https://www.hindujagruti.org/. The organizers of the book fair rendered their apology and issued an apology letter signed by the Director, International Section of ‘Frankfurt Book Fair’; but HJS will continue its fight till the picture is withdrawn from the Fair and the organizers render a public apology.
