A State level Mandir Mahasangh was announced at the conclusion of the second ‘Maharashtra Mandir Nyas Parishad’ held on 2nd and 3rd December at Shri Kshetra Ozar. It was mainly decided to implement Dress-Code in 264 temples of the State and to hold ‘District level temple trustee convention’ in 16 Districts.

Second ‘Maharashtra Mandir Parishad’ will be organized to bring together temple trustees, priests and devotees to preserve the divinity of temples through performing ritualistic worship in temples, conserving ancient temple culture, solving various problems of temples, and protection of traditions followed by temples.

A fresh application has been filed before the Court of District Judge, Varanasi to “seal and protect” certain areas of Gyanvapi Mosque premises where Hindu Signs and symbols exist so that “no damage can be done to the same by Anjuman Masjid Committee and Namaz offerers”.
In addition to implementing the dress code in the temples, it was decided to make the temple area clean and spiritually pure. This would be achieved by making the temple premises free of meat and liquor. It was decided to fight legally for this cause during the meeting of the core committee of the Maharashtra Mandir Mahasangh.
Maharashtra Mandir Mahasangh was established on February 5, 2023 during the Maharashtra Mandir Trust Parishad (Conference) held at Jalgaon, Maharashtra. Ever since, the mission of the Mahasangh is continuously on the rise.
All the laws passed by various state governments across the country regarding temples violate Articles 19, 21, 25, 26 and 27 of the Constitution. Therefore, the central government should repeal all temple related laws and free temples from government control.
On the second day – session 3 of Vaishvik Hindu Rashtra Mahotsav dignitaries expressed their thoughts on the topic, ‘Free Temples Movement’. Shri Anup Jayswal, Dr N. Ramesh Hassan, Supreme Court Advocate Vishnu Shankar Jain, Shri Krishna Devaraya, Shri Mahesh Degala and Advocate Nilesh Sangolkar were present on the dais.
At this time the trustee of Shri Gopalkrishna Temple Mr Prasanna Paturkar, Mrs Mamata Chincwadkar and Mr Ashutosh Gote appealed to devotees to protect the sanctity of the temples and follow Indian culture.
