  1. Wearing a tie is a non-sattvik practice of the westerners. It further traps an individual in Māyā (Great Illusion). Therefore, the individual does not obtain any spiritual benefit and remains psychologically disturbed.

  2. An individual wears a tie to show off and to increase his/her importance in front of others. Such attire fosters ego, increases body-awareness and competitive spirit.

  3. The way a tie is worn, it affects the breathing of the wearer.

  4. It increases the possibility of physical ailments.

  5. Pace of the energy present in the Shaachakrās (Centres in the spiritual energy system located in the subtle-body) of the Kunḍalinī (Dormant spiritual energy in the subtle-body) system slows down and obstacles are created in its path.

2. Disadvantages of wearing a tie

2A. A tie enhances the individual’s extroversion

A tie enhances the Tama component in the body, resulting in increased extroversion of the individual. As a result, the individual is not able to imbibe sattvik vibrations and positive thoughts from the environment. It may, therefore, bring a break in its spiritual practice and the individual may drift away from it.

2B. Upon wearing a tie, māntriks (subtle-sorcerers) find it easier to establish a subtle-yantra (A device/shape used by a subtle-sorcerer to store negative energy) of distressing energy at the throat and cause distress to the individual through that yantra

A tie exerts unwanted pressure on the Vishuddha-chakra (Fifth centre [chakra] in the spiritual energy system located in the neck in the subtle body), thereby, causing obstacles in the process of respiration and swallowing. This makes it easier for the mantriks to establish a subtle-yantra of distressing energy in the throat region. This subtle-yantra is a subtle distress-causing shape that imbibes and emits distressing energy.

2C. A tie creates a covering of distressing energy waves around the neck and accumulates distressing energy in large quantity in the region of Vishuddha-chakra

Waves of distressing energy are attracted towards the tie and a bow. If an object charged with distressing energy is tied around any part of the body, distressing energy waves get accumulated on that part and on the physical body. In addition, the subtle-bodies of the individual get charged with distressing energy. Taking advantage of this, the negative energies can increase their attacks. Wearing a tie creates a covering of distressing energy waves around the neck and leads to accumulation of distressing energy in large quantity in the region of the Vishuddha-chakra.

2D. Through the tie, it becomes easier for the negative energies to increase their attacks on the individual’s neck, chest and abdomen, and make them ineffective, then gaining control over the individuals becomes easy

Since a tie is long, waves of distressing energy accumulated in the tie’s knot spread to the individual’s chest and stomach, creating a distressing energy covering over these organs. Thus, through the tie it becomes easier for negative energies to increase their attacks on the individual’s neck, chest and stomach, and make them ineffective. Since the attacks of negative energies make the important organs of the body ineffective, it becomes easier for the negative energies to gain control over the individual.
