1. Lecture held twice in a monthly meeting of one organization at Ernakulum on simple acts of Dharmacharan!
Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) held a lecture each at Edvanakkad and Vaippin in Ernakulum. In a monthly meeting of one unit of an organization called SNDP, the organizers invited HJS volunteers for giving lecture. Kum. Aditi and Pranita Sukhtankar of HJS explained few simple acts of ‘Dharmacharan’ such as science behind applying ‘kumkum’ on forehead and its proper way, method of greeting each other with ‘namaskar’ and its importance, simple ways of ‘vaastu’ purification etc. The lecture was attended by 35 persons. In February 2017 also, similar lecture was held. One aged person was happy for learning scientific method of applying ‘kumkum’.
2. Extensive ‘prasar’ in Ernakulum district on the occasion of Gudhi Padava !
2. A. Good attendance for lecture on importance of ‘Gudhi Padava’ and Hindus’ New Year ! : 3 lectures were held on the occasion of ‘Gudhi Padava’ in Ernakulum district. Sou. Shalini Suresh of HJS gave information on ‘Gudhi Padava’ and Hindus’ New Year in 2 temples (Shivamariamman Kovil and Shri Gopalkrushna Mandir). 28 people attended the lecture in both the temples.
2. B. Spontaneous response by ‘jidnyasus’ to lectures on ‘Gudhi Padava’ and importance of Kuldevata ! : Kum. Pranita Sukhtankar gave lecture on ‘Gudhi Padava’ and importance of ‘Kuldevata’ at Mahalakshmi Complex in Ernakulum which was attended by 25 people. Demonstration was presented on importance of ‘Brahma-dhvaj’ and how it should be erected. Participants liked the subject and got their doubts clarified.
2. C. Highlights
1. A reader of ‘Sanatan Prabhat’ sponsored few copies of Sanatan’s short book on ‘Naamsankirtan Yoga’ and distributed them among residents of Mahalakshmi Complex 1-2 days before the lecture.
2. ‘Gudhi Padava’ is not celebrated in Kerala; still ‘jidnyasus’ from ‘Dharmashikshan’ class liked the topic and they tried to know the method of erecting ‘Gudhi’.
