Complaint lodged with Charity Commissioner against charity hospitals for ignoring various schemes of the Government of Maharashtra

Mumbai : Charity hospitals get facilities from the Government for offering free treatment to poor and weak section of society and it is mandatory on such hospitals to treat and provide beds for free or at discounted rates to patients below poverty line. They however, do not follow the rules. In this connection, Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) and other organizations submitted representations to Charity Commissioners at various places.

Representation submitted against 4 hospitals at Nagar to assistant Charity Commissioner

Nagar : St. Luis Hospital, Swami Vivekananda Hospital, Anandrhushiji Hospital and Kakasaheb Mhaske Kamgar Hospital have not put up notice boards on front side about availability of beds etc; therefore, representation lodging complaint was submitted to assistant Charity Commissioner B. P. Yengade. He said that visit was paid to hospitals every month and they would inquire and look into this matter during such visit.

Action will be taken against those who don’t follow orders

Ratnagiri : Charity hospitals should take proper action on various schemes offered by Government was the demand made through representation submitted by ‘Hindutvavadis’ to assistant Charity Commissioner A. P. Kulkarni of Ratnagiri zone. Shri. Kulkarni took note of the representation and gave instructions to concerned officers for checking in hospitals run by public trusts whether such hospitals had put up boards, which were visible to all, advertising various Government schemes. In case, such boards were not put up, orders should be issued for displaying boards immediately and action would be taken if instructions were not followed.

Advocate Vidyanand Jog of ‘Patanjali Yoga Samiti’, Shri. Abhijit Girkar, Shri. Nilesh Nene of ‘Shri Shivapratishthan’, Ratnagiri, Sanatan Sanstha’s Dr. Santosh Nanoskar and Shri. Subodh Mondkar and Shri. Sanjay Joshi, District Coordinator of HJS were present on the occasion.

Advocate Vidyanand Jog of ‘Patanjali Yoga Samiti’ said, “As per the order passed on PIL No. 3132/ 2004 by Mumbai High Court, it is compulsory for hospitals run by public trusts to reserve 10 % beds for people below poverty line and give them free treatment so also to weak sections of society and give treatment at discounted rate; with information on the same displayed at such place where everyone would be able to see. Such boards were not seen in hospitals of Ratnagiri including Diwaliben Mohanlal Mehta Lions’ Eye Hospital. Order issued by the Court should be promptly implemented so that poor people would be able to take benefit of Government schemes.”

Fight for eradication of anti-social tendencies started in Pune after seeking blessings of Shri Vishnu !

Pune : Before starting the drive on Akshay Trutiya against anti-social tendencies, Shri. Krushnaji Patil, a seeker of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti with 65% spiritual level went to ShriVishnu Temple in Shaniwar Peth; prayed to Him and offered ‘sreefal’ and garland. He prayed for removal of obstacles in undertaking this drive and for maximum devout Hindus getting associated with the drive. Shri. Patil then bowed in front of the idol and he felt that ShriVishnu was bestowing His blessings through the idol. Shri. Ketan Patil was going for submitting representation when a banyan leaf flew towards him. Banyan tree is considered to be auspicious. This incident showed that God was with seekers and the drive would be undertaken without any obstacles.

Members of Shivapratishthan Hindustan, Hindu Mahasabha, Warkari Sampradaya, HJS and BJP were present while submitting complaint to assistant Charity Commissioner.
