Success of HJS : Hindus, pay gratitude to God for this success

Solapur (Maharashtra): An organization from Pune called ‘Sahityadarshan’ had arranged an exhibition of books in which there was denigration of Deities in ‘Shubhrai’ Art Gallery. Members of Hindi Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) influenced the organizers to close down such exhibition in a lawful manner.

Mr. Omkar Tekale, an advocate of HJS had gone to see the exhibition when he observed the books titled ‘Vishnu cha akarava avatar’ by Vasant Mirasdar and ‘Udasbodh’ by Mangesh Padgaonkar. In the book by Mirasdar, actor Amitabh Bacchan has been stated to be the 11th incarnation of Lord Vishnu thus making mockery of Lord Vishnu. There is a caricature of Amitabh Bacchan in the form of Lord Vishnu on the front page of this book. Tekale was enraged to see the book and he informed other members of HJS about the said exhibition. About 30 members of HJS met the manager of the exhibition Akhil Shaikh. (Hindus, only by birth, are denigrating Hindu Dharma and Deities, therefore, followers of other religions join them to express their hatred towards Hindus. The above is an example of such mentality ! – Editor SP) Shaikh said that Mirasdar was a famous writer. HJS members asked him if he would have tolerated denigration of Prophet Mohammad. (Congratulations to HJS members for asking the manager such frank questions and made him consider religious sentiments of Hindus! Such members are the true strength of Hindu Dharma ! – Editor SP)

Shaikh had no answer to this and agreed that it was mockery. He sent out everybody from the hall and closed down the exhibition. HJS members called up Ravindra Kasar, the owner of ‘Sahityadarshan’ and warned him that he would have to face legal action if such exhibition is held in future when Kasar assured that such books would not be exhibited or sold anywhere in Maharashtra. Shaikh has rendered apology in writing and sought consent of HJS for continuing the exhibition after withdrawing all denigrating books.
