Issue of damaging idols in Lakshmi-Narayan Temple, Uran

HJS submits a representation to Tehsildar, Panvel and senior Police Inspector

Panvel(Maharashtra): Some miscreants damaged the idols in Sree Lakshmi-Narayan Temple at Main Chowk in Uran on 15th August 2010 in the afternoon. A representation condemning the incident and demanding strict action against the guilty as also protection for Hindu Temples was submitted by Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) to the Tehsildar Dr. Sandip Mane and senior Police Inspector Suresh Bhosale. A demand is made to conduct impartial and detailed inquiry into the recurring incidents taking place in respect of Hindus’ places of worship. Mr. Yashawant Vasane, Mr. Ravindra Mahakal, Mr. Balwant Pathak, Mr. Ganesh Bagal, Mr. Ram Metre, Smt. Deshpande, Mrs. Neela Joshi, Mrs. Anuradha Mulye, Mrs. Abhaya Upadhye, Mrs. Vaishali Sambar etc. were present on the occasion.
