Goa: HJS celebrates Rakhi Pournima

Panaji (Goa): The Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) conducted a Raksha Bandhan program yesterday on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan, in order to develop a sense of brotherhood. The lady members of the HJS tied Rakhis to businessmen, police officers, government officers, devout Hindus and well wishers in Margao, Bicholim, Mayem and Mapusa.  

In Margao, the lady members of the HJS tied rakhi to Dy SP Mr. Umesh Gaonkar apart from other devout Hindus and businessmen. In Bicholim, lady members tied rakhis to 30 people including Mr. Kamlesh Bandekar of Patanjali Yog Samiti and priest Mr. Babu Sahakari. In Mayem, they tied rakhis to Mr. Premendra Shet and Mr. Kalidas Kavlekar, President of Sree Sateri Temple, Mayem. In Mapusa, HJS’s lady members tied Rakhis to 116 people.
