Satara: On behalf of the Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS), a Principal was congratulated for ensuring that denigration of deities was avoided in the district level Youth Festival organized by Shivaji University at Aundh (Satara District). Principals of many colleges like The Arts and Commerce College, Lal Bahadur Shastri College, Yashawantrao Chavan Science College, Chhatrapati Shivaji College and Dhananjayrao Gadgil Commerce College were vigilant and saw to it that no such program was held in the festival that would hurt the feelings of Hindus.
The festival was organized during 26th September to 1st October. All the colleges from the district had taken part in the Youth Festival. Before commencement of the festival, member of HJS had given letters to a few colleges for being alert and check that programs that involve denigration of deities hurting feelings of Hindus were not included. The Principals of the above-mentioned colleges therefore, did their duty.
