Pune : ‘Shaurya jagaran’ camp was held on 10th May on behalf of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) at Pune Municipal Corporation’s colony in Pandava nagar area. The workshop was attended by 36 men and women from this colony. Few youth showed interest in starting self-defence training classes, after attending the workshop.
Various programs held during workshop and guidance
1. Shri. Kundalik Kachale, a ‘Hindutvavadi’ and trainer of outdoor games presented demos along with children in all age groups, from very young age to school going children, on ‘lathi-kathi’ and ‘Danda-patta’.
2. Shri. Vijay Chaudhari of HJS spoke on the topic of ‘Shaurya Jagaran (awakening valour)- need of the hour and its importance’.
3. Kum. Kranti Petkar of Ranaragini Division promoted by HJS gave guidance on the necessity to get trained in self-defence.
4. After the guidance, few HJS volunteers showed demos on self-defence.
Highlights
1. Shri. Vijay Gawade of ‘Gargi Foundation’ and Kumar Arya Gawade of ‘Amarjyot Mitra Mandal’ had organized the worskshop.
2. Many women said after attending workshop that the drive of ‘Shaurya jagaran’ was laudable and everyone needs to know self-defence methods. If regular training is arranged there for ladies, they would come and even bring more women.
3. One very young girl (4 and half years old) presented demo on ‘lathi-kathi’ inspiring everyone to learn the same.
4. Shri. Vijay Gawade’s mother said that she would send her grand-daughter for self-defence training class.
5. An exhibition of Sanatan’s ‘sattvika’ products and books was held at the venue.
