Representations submitted at various places to prevent abuse of national flags

Representations were submitted to police and local administrations of few districts in Maharashtra that as directed by Mumbai High Court, abuse of national flags taking place due to use of plastic national flags should be prevented

Latur : Representation addressed to the District Collector was accepted by Dy. District Collector Anant Gavhane in the presence of Shri. Shrikant Salunkhe; Shri. Arjun Katkar; Shri. Nilesh Mohalkar; Shri. Pralhad Waghmare, Shri. Bibhishan Kotmale; Shri. Ganesh Mohalkar; Shri. Manoj Swami; along with volunteers of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) and seekers of Sanatan Sanstha.

Dy. District Collector, while appreciating, said that he was happy to see all youth; else earlier such tasks were undertaken only by the elders. He also informed of setting up a committee as per the demand and conveyed about the same to all offices. He advised HJS volunteers to inform him in case flag-hoisting was not done by English medium schools, madarasas or elsewhere on 15th August so that action could be taken against the concerned.

Highlight : Patriotic citizens submitted representation within 24 hours once it was decided.


Representations submitted at Tuljapur and Pandharpur

Tuljapur (Dist. Dharashiv) : HJS submitted representation to Tehasildar Shri. Dinesh Zampale through Shri. Arjun Salunke of ‘Shivabaraje Pratishthan’; Congress municipal councilor Sunil Rocharikar; Anand Rocharikar; Sudhir Rocharikar; Rohit Adekar, Deepak Palange, Jagadish Pende along with HJS volunteers.

‘Hindutvavadis’ giving representation to Tehasildar A R Pawar at Pandharpur

Pandharpur (Dist Solapur) : Tehasildar A R Pawar accepted the representation giving promise to inform HJS within two days about action taken on the same. Delegation of HJS comprising of members viz. Shri. Balkrushna Dingare, President of Hindu Mahasabha, Pandharpur; Shivapratishthan’s Pratapsinh Salunkhe; Saurabh Thite; ‘Peshava Yuva Manch’s Secretary Ganesh Lanke, ‘Parashuram Yuva Manch’s Omkar Kulkarni, advocate Chandrashekhar Pore, devout Hindus Pradip Badave, Nitin Bokan; along with Sanatan Sanstha’s seekers and volunteers of HJS made a demand while submitting representation for setting up of an action committee by the Government for creating awareness amongst people as directed by the Court, for prevention of abuse of national flags.

Phaltan (Dist Satara) : HJS volunteers gave representation to Tehasildar Shri. Vijay Patil. Representation was submitted to Shri. Ajay Gorad and Tehasildar Shri. Sanjay Pandharpatte for prevention of abuse of national flags on the occasion of 15th August and for creating awareness towards installation of Ganesh idols as recommended in Dharma-shaastra and as eco-friendly for Baramati. HJS volunteers were present on the occasion.


Spontaneous response by a school Principal from Wardha !

Representation was given to Shri. Vinod Jakkanwar, the Principal of ‘Saraswati Vidyalaya’, Wardha who responded spontaneously. He granted permission for holding exhibition of flex-boards on life history of revolutionaries during a program held by the school on the occasion of death anniversary of Lokmanya Tilak; so also, hold a lecture regarding honour of national flags. The exhibition was visited by 125 students.

Highlights

1. Two girl students asked for website details of HJS.

2. The Principal asked for Sanatan books. Teachers appreciated exhibition on revolutionaries as it introduced students to the freedom struggle. The Principal also said that HJS drive was undertaken quite enthusiastically.

3. One girl student showed interest in joining HJS demonstrations.


Representations for maintaining honour of national flags submitted at Chandrapur and Wardha

Chandrapur : Representations demanding prevention of abuse of national flags and taking action as per directions of Court were submitted to Dy. District Collector Vaibhav Navadkar; Education (Secondary) Officer Sanjay Dorlikar; Education (Primary) Officer Ram Garkar; Dy. District Collectror Mangesh Joshi of Wardha. Shri. Mangesh Joshi read the handbill creating awareness on the issue and promised to issue necessary orders.

Thane : Under the drive for maintaining honour of national flags, Mayor Sou. Minakshi Shinde was given representation by Sou. Dhanashree Kelashikar of HJS and Dr. Ashish Devale, a devout Hindu.

Pen : The Government should set up action committee as per the directives of Court for preventing abuse of national flags and associate social organizations in this drive for creating awareness towards prevention of abuse of national flags. Different media can be used for the same. A representation with the above demand was submitted by Hindu Janajagruti Samiti to Tehasildar D.H. Kambale of Pen; Police Inspector Kshirsagar of Pen; so also Mayor Sou. Pritam Patil. Sou. Pritam Patil asked HJS to create awareness in students of all municipal schools in this connection. The representation was submitted to her by Shri. Chetan Mokal, Yuva Sena, Pen and his colleagues; Shri. Jagannath Jambhale of HJS and Shri. Dildas Mhatre of Sanatan Sanstha.


Do not use plastic national flags : Appeal by District Collector at Yeotmal !

All District Collectors need to follow this example ! – Editor, Hindujagruti

Yeotmal : District Collector, Sachindra Pratap Singh has made an appeal to citizens, police, administration and sellers through a press release that nobody should sell or use plastic flags. Local police should also take action against those using such flags. Flags collected from roads may be handed over to government machinery at taluka and district levels.

He has stated further that national flag is the identity of nation and it should not be insulted. All schools, junior colleges, health institutes, students, gram panchayats, corporations, ‘sthanik swarajya sansthas’ and all private organizations should take a note of the same and take help of police.

Recently, HJS had submitted representation in District Collector’s office for maintaining honour of national flags.
