Rashtriya Hindu Andolan held at Navi Sangavi (Pune)

Hindus should immerse Ganesh idols in flowing water instead of donating them to anti-Hindus’ ! – Umesh Pawar, Shiva-vandana (Sangavi)

Pimpri (Pune) : Local administration erects artificial water tanks during Ganeshotsav for immersion of idols. Hindus should ask what happened with idols donated in last two years before they decide to immerse idols in water tank. Those idols are loaded in garbage vans by municipal employees and are thrown in quarry. We commit mistake by donating such Shri Ganesh idol which has been consecrated and worshipped by us and thus, encourage these people. No account is kept of such donated idols; therefore, Hindus should behave responsibly and immerse idols in flowing water instead of donating them, stated Shri. Umesh Pawar from Shiva-vandana Group (Sangavi) during demonstrations staged under the aegis of ‘Rashtriya Hindu Andolan’, at Sai Chowk on 18th August.

Shri. Hiren Sonawane, city-Vice President of BJP-Yuva Morcha, H.B.P. Wagh Maharaj of Shri Gajanan Maharaj Devasthan (Sangavi), Shri. Nagesh Joshi of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti and Shri. Chandrashekhar Tandale of Sanatan Sanstha; besides about 100 Ganesh-devotees and patriotic Hindus were present on the occasion. Shri. Nagesh Joshi and Shri. Chandrashekhar Tandale also addressed the demonstrators.

I will try to see that artificial water tanks are not erected ! – Hiren Sonawane

Ganeshotsav should be celebrated in traditional manner. We shall try to see that artificial water tank would not be erected in our area. Hindus should immerse Ganesh idols in flowing water.

Chinese goods should be boycotted ! – H.B.P.Wagh Maharaj

Presently, Ganesh festival is celebrated in totally distorted manner compared to what was the purpose of Ganeshotsav started by Lokmanya Tilak. Today, attacks on Dharma are increasing through films, malpractices taking place in celebration of festivals and that needs to be stopped. If we boycott Chinese products, it will be a lesson to China. Municipal Corporation encourages immersion of idols in artificial water tanks but Hindus should not tolerate desecration of Deity happening through the same.

2. Signature drive undertaken during demonstrations received good response from people.

Police try to stop demonstrations

One assistant Police Inspector went to the venue when demonstrations were going on and asked what for demonstrations were staged; stopping them for ten minutes. He told seeker of Sanatan Sanstha to stop demonstrations and give representation to police station. He advised to go to District Collector instead of staging demonstrations for the demands. He said that 5.00 p.m. to 8.00 p.m. was busy time with heavy traffic; thus trying to pressurize demonstrators. The seeker explained to PI, in detail, about purpose of staging demonstrations; permission obtained for holding such demonstrations and demands made through them. He also assured that demonstrations would not create hindrance in movement of traffic. Later, that assistant PI advised against taking Dr. Zakir Naik’s name since it could create law and order problem before allowing resumption of demonstrations. Another policeman took down name and number of the seeker. (Anti-Hindu mentality of asst. PI trying to stop demonstrations held in lawful manner ! Police talk about law and order problem if Dr. Zakir Naik’s name is taken which shows the pathetic condition of law and order prevailing in the State. Had police used their time to find fanatics and terrorists, that would have been in the interest of the people. – Editor, Hindujagruti)
