Yeotmal : HJS submits representation to Mayor for ‘Ideal Ganeshotsav’ drive

Wells to be cleaned for immersion of Shri Ganesh idols at Yeotmal ! – Sou. Kanchantai Chaudhari, Mayor, Yeotmal

Yeotmal : Sou. Kanchantai Chaudhari, Mayor of Yeotmal Town Council promised volunteers of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) that wells would be cleaned for immersion of Shri Ganesh idols; instead of erecting artificial water tanks.

Last year, artificial water tank was erected and idols were immersed in such tank; leading to desecration of Shri Ganesh idols. HJS volunteers submitted a representation to Mayor Sou. Chaudhari demanding prevention of such desecration this year. Explaining ‘Dharma-shaastra’ for immersion of Shri Ganesh idols in flowing water or natural water resources, HJS volunteers made an appeal for prevention of desecration of idols this year and for protection of Dharma. She promised to clean up existing wells and prepare them for immersion; instead of erecting artificial water tank. (Congratulations to Mayor Sou. Promise to write letter to Commissioner for conducting inquiry and taking necessary action ! – Rajendra Muthe, Dy. District Collector, Pune

Pune : Representation was submitted to Dy. District Collector Rajendra Muthe on behalf of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti and Ganesh-devotees; demanding prevention of malpractices taking place during celebration of Ganesh festival, which are anti-Dharma and misleading people. He promised to write letter to the Commissioner for conducting inquiry as demanded in the representation and to take necessary action; so also take appropriate action in connection with Ganesh idols made of paper pulp.
