‘Hinduism is nationalism. This nationalism should be propagated, should be respected. Today, Hindus are not given due respect in this country. Hindus must follow ‘Dharmacharan’ and work towards protection of Dharma with unity. The mission of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) is very good and it is very important. Shiv Sena strongly backs HJS,’ said Mr. Manohar Joshi, a senior leader and MP of Shiv Sena. He was addressing the 8th anniversary program organized by HJS yesterday in the evening at ‘Sahayog Mandir Hall’ in Thane (West).

Mr. Makarand Mule, the former Editor of ‘Daily Tarun Bharat’ lighted the lamp. Mr. Prasad Vadake of HJS also shared the dais with these dignitaries. Mr. Prashant Surve first presented a review of HJS activities. The program was compeered by Mr. Mahesh Mulik that concluded with singing of national song ‘Vande Mataram’.

Blood Donation Camp
In Plasma Blood-bank of Dr. Bhagavat, blood donation camp was organized in Dombivali (East). Mr. Tatyasaheb Mane, Shiv Sena councilor was present and extended full cooperation.
Tree plantation
At Davadi near Dombivali, a tree plantation program was organized in which Mr. Gurunath Lote, Panchayat member of Davadi village and area-chief of Shiv Sena arranged participation of students from Rajubhai Tukaram Patil School and helped to make the program successful. Mr. Appa Bahekar from Dombivali donated 25 saplings of ‘neem’ for the purpose and he guided the students on how the saplings were to be planted and the need for such plantation.
Camp for eye- check up
Dr. Bhavsar, an Opthalmologist from Dombivali West offered his clinic for holding a camp. He checked eyes of the needy.
Distribution of notebooks
In Adarsh Vinodini School, Kalyan, needy students were distributed notebooks which were sponsored by Mr. Shailesh Shetty, the owner of Mahalakshmi Hotel. Notebooks were distributed to needy students even in St. Mary Marathi School at Diva.
