Legal notice issued to Maharashtra Pollution Control Board and Municipal Corporation at Kolhapur !
Shri. Dnyaneshwar Aswale, a devout Hindu has served such notice and it is a fight, planned in lawful manner, for protection of environment and celebration of festival as per ‘Dharma-shaastra’, stated Shri. Dnyaneshwar Aswale.
Kolhapur : Dancing to the tune of progressive factions, Maharashtra Pollution Control Board (MPCB) and the State Environment Department have hatched a plot to declare idols made from paper pulp as eco-friendly; without undertaking study or research on the subject. The above facts were exposed through the verdict passed by Court; however, no action has been taken even after ten months since such verdict was passed, for creating awareness against pollution caused with use of paper-pulp idols. In fact, the Government has continued to promote paper-pulp idols prior to start of Ganeshotsav, this year. Therefore, Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) has warned to file a petition against MPCB and Environment Department for contempt of Court if ban was not immediately imposed on paper pulp idols.
On 16th August, a legal notice has been served to MPCB’s regional officer Dilip Khedekar and Municipal Commissioner Abhijit Chaudhari in this context.
Then how about the people living on this profession. This comes once a year. What about the daily pollution problems. Very surprising to find this as a point of issue.
