Representation by HJS and Hindu organizations submitted at Vita and Miraj
Prevent cow-slaughter on Bakri Eid and take care of Hindus’ objects of worship
Sangli : Bakri Eid is on 2nd September and there is likelihood of cow-slaughter in areas where Muslims are in majority. Ganesh festival is also going on during the same period. Incidents like finding pieces of beef near Ganesh pandals might happen and create law and order problem. In the background of Eid, many Muslim butchers are buying cows and calves on large scale. Few ‘Gou-rakshaks’ have observed cows and calves tied in Muslim colonies. The local administration should remain alert and prevent cow-slaughter by engaging reconnaissance squads at various places. Representation was submitted under leadership of HJS under leadership of HJS, to regional office at Miraj and at Tehasil office in Vita.
Representation was submitted to acting-Tehasildar Shri. Navanath Landage. Shri. Ganesh Lokare, Shri. Pramod Nikam, Shri. Shubham Sutar, Shri. Abhishek Nikam, Shri. Shiva Shinde, Shri. Amar Shinde of Hindu Dharma Sena; Shri. Mahesh Sawant, a soldier in Indian army and members of HJS and Sanatan Sanstha were present on the occasion.
Pune : Representation submitted to Pune District Collector
Pune : On 2nd September is Bakri Eid and it is the past experience that cows are slaughtered on large scale in areas where Muslims are in majority. Moreover, Ganesh festival is also going on and incidents like throwing beef in front of Ganesh idol; disturbing law and order etc have taken place earlier. On this day, cows are slaughtered purposely to hurt religious sentiments of Hindus leading to communal disharmony. Fanatic anti-social elements are buying cows/ cattle on large scale for the forthcoming Bakri Eid. There is severe displeasure amongst ‘Gou-premis (cow-patrons)’ due to cow-slaughter, cow-trafficking happening continuously. The Government administration should be alert and see to it that there wouldn’t be incidents of cow-slaughter during ‘Ganeshotsav’; deploy squads for surveillance and keep watch on cow-traffickers. Also, take stringent action against fanatic cow-traffickers who try to spoil the atmosphere during Ganesh festival. A representation with above demands was submitted by ‘Gou-premis’, Ganesh-devotees and ‘Hindutvavadis’ on 29th August to Dy. District Collector Rajendra Muthe which was addressed to the District Collector. Shiv Sena ‘Shakha-Chief’ Shri. Rhushikesh Kulkarni, Ganesh-devotee Shri. Akshay Bhegade, Shri. Vishal Alhat of ‘Shiva-vandana Mahasangh’, Shri. Sudhakar Sanganwar of ‘Yoga Vedanta Seva Samiti’ and Shri. Pravin Naik of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) were present on the occasion. Shri. Muthe promised to deploy special reconnaissance squads for preventing malpractices.
Representation submitted to police by ‘Hindutvavadi’ organizations at Dhule
Dhule : The Government administration should see to it that Maharashtra Animal Protection Act is not violated. Representation was submitted to Dy. Superintendent of Police, Himmat Jadhav on behalf of all pro-Hindu organizations. Dr. Yogesh Patil of ‘Yoga Vedanta Seva Samiti’, Shri. Vilas Rajput of ‘Swadeshi Jagaran Manch’, Shri. Pankaj Bagul of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti, Shri. Sanjay Sharma of VHP, Shri. Manoj Ghodake of ‘Hindu Ekata Andolan’; along with many activists were present on the occasion.
Fanatic traders have possession of animals taken for slaughtering to Dhule !
Transportation of animals is going on illegally in the city, in the background of Bakri Eid during ‘Ganeshotsav’. Animals are crammed in vehicles and transported to Dhule and in the areas under Azadnagar, Chalisgaon Road, Devapur police stations. Animals are also kept in stables and houses of fanatics on large scale.
Ten cows and a calf were found cruelly crammed in a very small place in a store-room in Hafiz Siddiqui Nagar in Vadjai Road area of the city. Police informed that they were brought for slaughtering. A case has been filed against Aziz Mohammad Gurfan Ansari, a hotel owner at Chalisgaon Road police station, in this connection.
