Members of ‘Sanskar Pratishthan’ and employees of ‘PRAJ’ also driven out
Chinchwad : A drive was undertaken by Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) as usual on the day of immersion of ‘Gauri-Ganesh’ at Thergaon ghat on 31st August. Police however, reached in the afternoon and forced HJS volunteers to stop the drive and asked them to leave. They, however, told volunteers that their banners could be left at the ghat if they wished; warning to serve notice under clause 149. Police, thus, forced all volunteers of HJS to leave immersion ghat. HJS volunteers tried to tell police that they had informed police about such drive earlier and it was only to create awareness amongst people which was also a kind of ‘Dharma-seva’; but police didn’t want to listen to anything and forced volunteers to stop the drive. They asked even activists from ‘Sanskar Pratishthan’ and employees of ‘PRAJ’ Company to stop their drive.
Assistant Police Commissioner of Police from Pimpri-Chinchwad verbally ordered other police officers to take down names and contact nos. of activists. (Police strategy of taking action against concerned persons; so also intimidate persons who are not associated with the issue ! Drive undertaken by ‘Sanskar Pratishthan’ was to mislead devotees whereas HJS drive was as per Dharma and was held in lawful manner. Law also grants permission to undertake drive in lawful manner; therefore, police should have stopped wrong things and encouraged right things; but stopping HJS from undertaking its lawful drive for creating awareness amongst devotees, was inappropriate. – Editor, Dainik Sanatan Prabhat)
Police asked everyone associated with various drives to go out; but employees of Cummins and students from Jain College were making appeal to devotees for donation of old used flowers and leaves. Few devotees were dipping idols in artificial water tank and then donating such idols. (Improper action due to lack of ‘Dharmashikshan’ ! As per the science, immersion of idols in flowing water helps devotee at spiritual level. – Editor, Dainik Sanatan Prabhat)
