Bhandup (Mumbai): With an aim of increasing love and respect among Hindus towards their Dharma and unite them for activities related to protection of Dharma, a rally was organized by Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) on the occasion of ‘Vijaya-Dashami’ at Bhandup. The rally began with performing ‘puja’ of the ‘Dharma-dhvaj’ by devout Hindus Mr. and Mrs. Eknath Rane followed with breaking of coconut by Mr. Ramesh Korgaonkar, the Shiv Sena municipal councilor from Bhandup. 115 devout Hindus took part in the rally that began with blowing of conch and recitation of ‘shlokas’ and was taken through Lalasheth Compound, Ashok Kedare Chowk etc. areas concluding at the same place where it began. Greetings were exchanged on the occasion of ‘Vijaya-Dashami’ concluding the rally with singing of ‘Vande Mataram’.

Mr. Ramesh Korgaonkar of Shiv Sena said, “It is very unfortunate that we cannot lead out lives respectfully in this country today. Considering the continuous attacks against Hindu Dharma, there is no alternative for Hindus but to unite. HJS teaches us the proper scientific way of celebrating various festivals, creates awareness among people towards the attacks on Dharma, denigration of Deities etc. We must take maximum benefit of this.”

Mr. Satish Sonar of HJS said, “We must return the attacks on our Dharma jointly and in lawful manner; else, the anti-Hindus will not be quiet.” Mr. Milind Korgaonkar of Bharatuya Yuva Morcha said, “HJS has undertaken a valuable task of uniting Hindus. Our voice should reach those who are crookedly looking at Hindus. It is our duty to maintain the tradition of revering our great Saints, sages etc. of our Dharma and it is the responsibility of all of us to carry on that duty.”
