Temple-cleaning drive in Sindhudurga District

Local residents and Sanatan seekers cleaned Kasal Pavanai Ravalnath Mandir 

Kudal : On the occasion of 75th birthday (Amrut Mahotsav) of ‘Paratpar Guru’ Dr. Athavale, various programs are held under ‘Hindu Rashtra-jagruti Abhiyan’. On 9th May, temple-cleaning drive was undertaken at Shri Pavanai Ravalnath Mandir at Kasal in Kudal taluka. The drive was started with making prayers to Shri Devi Pavanai and Shri Dev Ravalnath; followed with cleaning of temples and surrounding areas. After cleaning of temples, local residents made special prayers to Shri Devi Pavanai for long and healthy life of ‘Paratpar Guru’ Dr. Athavale and for establishment of Hindu Rashtra.

Sanatan seeker Dr. Sanjay Samant explained the purpose of making special prayers to God so also importance of cleaning of temples and offered gratitude to God for getting the drive executed from the participants. 15 local residents attended the drive; including 70 years old Smt. Parab aaji and another woman who had recently undergone eye-operation. She said that after cleaning the temple, she didn’t feel tired as she generally felt after working at home.

Shri. Eknath and Shri. Ankush Bhiva Pawar, Shri. Baban Parkar, Siddhi Parab, Gauri Rane, Shweta Rane, Shital Parab, Smt. Parab aaji, Shri. Chadrakant Parab, Shri. Rajendra Jethe, Sou. Mahananda Jethe, Shri. Tejas Ravale, Shri. Balkrushna Parab, Shri. Subhash Kasalkar and Shri. Pratham Sharma participated in cleaning drive.

Kanakavali 

On 11th May at Ashiye (Khalchi Gurav Vadi) in the taluka, ‘Yuva Shaurya Abhiyan’ work shop was held at the residence of Shri. Shridhar Gurav. 80 local residents and 12 children participated in the same. Shri. Hemant Manerikar, Sindhudurga District Coordinator of HJS spoke about ‘Shaurya Jagaran’ and Sou. Anjali Manerikar explained the need for self-defence training. Shri. Ramesh Sawant did compeering of the program. Shri. Shankar Gurav, Sarpanch-Ashiye, Shri. Madhukar Gurav, retired police officer were the dignitaries present on the occasion.

Highlights

  • Attendance of young men and women in the program was noticeable.
  • Few young men waited after the program to have discussions and get more details about the activities and were interested in starting self-defence training classes.
  • Exhibition of Sanatan’s books and ‘sattvika’ products was held at the venue.
  • Shri. Shridhar Gurav, Ashiye provided place for holding the work shop
  • Shri. Shashikant Pujare, Ashiye made arrangements for sound system.
  • Shri. Nikhil Gurav, Shri. Prakash Gurav and their friends extended help for conducting the program, successfully.
  • Rameshwar Battery, Kanakavali provided battery for the program.
