Mamta Government has imposed ban on immersion of idols for one day, giving excuse of Moharrum. Imposing ban on Hindus to follow their religious customs for Muslims’ convenience to celebrate their festivals, is religious discrimination, stated Shri. Shyam Sangunvedhe and Sou. Madhuri More of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS). Demand was also made for passing stringent laws to prevent love jihad. People supported the agitations by signing the representation.
