Be prepared to face the calamities threatening our religion !

Mumbai: Jain Acharya Bhagawant Nayapadma Sagarji Maharaj said, in a meeting of Trustees of religious institutions of Jains and other religions held recently, that earlier it was the 13th law Commission formed for attacking our religion and now another crisis is faced in the form of the 15th Law Commission. Even in future, there will be 17th Law Commission to put our religion in jeopardy. Therefore, everyone should be ready to fight against the trouble threatening our religion.

The Congress-led anti-religion Maharashtra Government is planning to pass a Law called ‘Maharashtra Temples and Religious Institutions (Management and Regulations) Act’ to take over management of temples and religious institutions. A meeting was therefore, held, under the guidance of Acharya, of 150 Jain and Hindu religious institutions. Acharya further said that now this Law will be passed; but in future, many such laws would be passed. Everyday we have to face troubles like this. Therefore, to overcome such troubles, we have to use the Arya Chanakya policy of ‘Sama, Dama, Danda and Bheda’. If we fail to take prompt action now, we’ll have to face injustice.

He recommended forming a Law Department for protection of Jain Sect and immediately, a Legal Department was set up. Among the people present there, 13 participants agreed to offer Rs. 51,000 for monthly expenses of the new Department. Other 6 lawyers came forward to assist the department. Acharya also declared that space will be allocated for the Legal Department in the Dnyan Mandir.

He also advised that out of the money collected by way of offerings, only 1 lakh should be kept in the donation boxes and rest should be utilized towards religious activities.

If the Eradication of Blind Faith Act is passed, Govt. can take action even against Jain Munis – HJS

Some of the leaders had said that the Article No. 13 was inserted to avoid the likely danger of passing Eradication of Blind Faith Act. In that context, Shri Ramesh Shinde, the spokesperson of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti at State level, said that insertion of Article 13 was for the noble purpose of protection of our religion. But the State Government and a few atheist organizations have twisted the words and brought religion under its purview. Under this clause, police can take action even against Jain Munis if physical harm is caused while performing a religious activity. There is a provision under this Act for a third person to lodge complaint. On the whole, this Act is a menace and therefore, Hindu Janajagruti Samiti is fighting against the Act through various media. He also explained about other campaigns of HJS. The response received from the people was very encouraging.
