Hindus must realize the true mentality of so-called secular rulers !
Sangola (Maharashtra): An incident hurting religious sentiments of Hindus has recently come forth involving the Municipality. The Municipality distributes ‘prasad’ to devotees during Navaratri. This year too, the Municipality distributed bananas and some snacks as‘prasad’ among the devotees; but the ‘prasad’ was carried in a vehicle used for carrying garbage leading to furor among devotees. When asked about it, one of the employees agreed that the vehicle used for trash was used but he said that the vehicle was washed before use. One devotee said that if he washed a mug used in lavatory and then offered water in that mug to some officer of municipality, would he drink that water? Some devotees complained that the Municipality always behaves in biased manner where Hindu festivals are concerned.
The apathy of municipality in celebrating the festivals in a better manner is always evident. During the Ganesha-festival also, the wells were not cleaned before immersion of idols. The Municipality should think about the faith of devotees before undertaking any work related to religious festivals.
