Cancel surcharge levied on railway tickets during Navratri fair at Maihar and Vidhyanchal : Representation submitted by HJS to local administrations at Bhopal, Ujjain, Indore and Garoth
Bhopal : Fair is held every year during Navratri festival at Maihar (Madhya Pradesh) and Vindhyanchal (Uttar Pradesh). Railway administration has levied surcharge on railway tickets on travelers going to the above places. Also, South-Eastern railway has increased cost of platform tickets by double during Hindus’ festival period. It is religious discrimination and officers taking such decision should be suspended, was the demand made by Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) through representations submitted to local administrations at Bhopal, Ujjain, Indore and Garoth so also to railway administration at Ujjain.
Similar representation was submitted to additional District Collector D P Mali at Bhopal by Sou. Sandhya Agarkar, Smt. Pankaj Som and Sou. Shilpa Armarkar of Ranaragini Division. Shri. Basant Kurre, additional District Collector was given such representation by Shri. Yogesh Vhanmare, Shri. Kishore Kulkarni, Sou. Kiran Kulkarni and Shri. Anand Jakhotia, volunteers of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS); whereas Dy. Magistrate Ramprasad Verma was given the representation at Garoth (Dist. Mandsaur) by Shri. Shivam Soni and Shri. Ravi Bhalwara of HJS.
