Nagpur: Series of thefts in temples continues

Nagpur (Maharashtra): The series of thefts in temples in the city is going on. The renowned Ayachit Temple of Sree Balaji in Mahal area has been robbed of Rs. 7 lakhs which includes 12 kgs of silver, a ‘Tilapatra’ of gold, one throne made of silver, 2 silver lamps, 2 silver ‘Rajdand’, 1 silver umbrella and 1 ‘Ashtadanda’. Only 4 days back, there was theft of Rs. 4.50 lakhs in Gajanan Maharaj temple on Vardha Road. Before that Jain Temple was robbed of Rs. 1 lakh. The issue of safety of temples has taken serious form in Nagpur.
