Jalgaon: HJS celebrates Maharshi Valmiki Jayanti

Jalgaon (Maharashtra): Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) recently celebrated ‘Valmiki Jayanti’ at Karanj and Jalgaon. The statue of Maharshi Valmiki in ‘Valmiki Chowk’ was garlanded by Shiv Sena area-chief Mr. Mohan Tiwari and Bablu Pipriya at Jalgaon.

At Karanj, a picture of Maharshi Valmiki was worshipped by Mr. Ravindra Sapkale, a native. Miss Partiksha Korgaonkar of HJS stated that we can also remove our defects if we continuously chant God’s name.

Mr. Mohan Sonawane, the winner of ‘ideal farmer’ award from Jalgaon and a native said, “We should not get stuck with castes and creeds but we must unite and celebrate all our festivals together as our unity is the need of the hour.” Mr. Prashant Deshmukh of HJS explained the purpose of the program and Mr. Anil Sapkale did compeering.

Highlights

1. Everyone was of the opinion that ‘Valmiki Jayanti’should be celebrated by playing drum and DJ etc. Mr. Mohan Sonawane, Anil Sapkale and Kiran Sapkale from ‘Dharmashikshan Class’, however, sought guidance from HJS for celebrating the program in an ideal manner and accordingly, planned the program.
2. Observing the manner of celebration, even the natives, who were earlier hurt for the above decision, happily took part and showed interest in attending ‘Dharmashikshan Classes’ of HJS.
