The Dharmajagruti sabha in Cholachagudda in Badami, Karnataka commenced with the blowing of the conch on the 25th October 2010 evening, at 6 p.m., at the Boys Primary school, Cholachagudda. The Priests of the Banashankari Devi temple recited the vedic hymns. Around 850 devout Hindus attended the meeting. Hindu Janajagruti Samiti’s speaker inaugurated the meeting by lighting of the holy lamp.

Eminent persons from the locality honored the speakers. Mrs. Vinoda Mulluuru spoke in the Sabha on behalf of the Sanatan Prabhat periodical.

Sanatan Sanstha’s Mr. Sandeep Joshi elaborated the details related to the ban on Sanatan Sanstha. In our country, only the defined investigative agencies and the court has the authority to declare anyone as a culprit. Despite this, the secularists are ready to declare us as culprit and label us as terrorists even before the investigations have been completed, and before the court’s judgment. We are extremely grateful to those devout Hindus who have come forward to support us during this difficult time.

"Today Hindus are being cheated by offering money, medical aid, aid for schooling. Also the deities of Hindus and being insulted publicly thus polluting the minds of the Hindus, and Hindus are being converted", said Mr. Venkataramana Nayak of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti.

Ms. Bhavani Hiremath and Mr. Banashri Guniger did the compeering. Mr. Venkataramana Nayak presented the resolution. The meeting ended with the rendering of Vande maataram.

Highlights:

1. Eminent persons from the area were present one hour before the scheduled time of beginning the program.
2. The youth participated with enthusiasm and rendered their service.
3. People kept coming in till the end of the program.
4. People did not leave the place for quite some time even after the program was over.
5. A large number of people stayed back and took part in the informal discussion held thereafter.
6. All the eminent personalities and many youth posed for photograph with the Samiti members.
7. One person from the company that had provided the pandal material openly accepted his mistake on his own initiative.
