Denigration of Hindu Deities and national leaders through crackers should be stopped ! – HJS

Memorandum submitted to Sarpanches from 4 ‘Grampanchayat’

Bhiwandi (Maharashtra): Crackers with pictures of Hindu Deities and great national leaders are sold in large number on the occasion of Diwali festival. The denigration taking place through the medium of crackers should be immediately stopped, was the demand made by Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) by submission of memoranda to the Sarpanches of 4 Grampanchayats in Bhiwandi viz. Kasheli, Kalher, Kopar and Dive-Kevani. Mr. Devanand Thale, Sarpanch of Kasheli, Kalher’s Sarpanch, Mr. Pundalik Bhokare, Kopar’s Sarpanch, Mr. Rajendra Patil and Mr. Gondhale of Dive-Kewani were given such memoranda. Those who attend ‘Dharmashikshan’ classes, HJS members and devout Hindus were present on the occasion.

It has been stated in the memorandum that crackers burst during the festivals of Diwali and on other happy occasions are generally called Lakshmibar, Krushnabar, Vishnubar etc. with their pictures printed on the coverings so also crackers with Netaji Subhashchandra Bose’s pictures are manufactured. When such crackers are burst, they are torn into pieces which are found strewn all over the roads, trash and are trampled leading to their denigration; therefore, sale of such crackers should be stopped.
