HJS drive to stop denigration of Hindu Deities and great national heroes

Memorandum submitted to various police stations in Mumbai

Mumbai (Maharashtra) : Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) submitted memoranda for prevention of denigration of Hindu Deities to different police stations from Kurla to Mulund. Pictures of Deities like Sree Lakshmi, Srikrushna, Sri Vishnu etc. and great national leaders like Netaji Subhashchandra Bose are printed on the coverings of crackers. On bursting such crackers, the pictures get torn and strewn all over the roads, are found lying in gutters; trampled by pedestrians etc. which leads to denigration of Hindu Deities and national leaders hurting religious sentiments of millions of Hindus. Mr. Satish Sonar and Mr. Kashiram Parab of HJS submitted a memorandum to the Tehsildar Borkar (Mulund Office) and Police Dy. Commissioner Sanjay Shintre of Zone 7 demanding to take action against denigration taking place through the medium of crackers. Tehsildar Borkar said that it was wrong to print pictures of Deities on the coverings of crackers and he would convey the feelings to the Government. Dy. Police Commissioner Shintre assured to take action against those selling such crackers.
