Ramjanmabhoomi: The holiest of holy, Symbol of unity

Will Durant, the American historian, has held Muslim rule in India as the bloodiest story in history by citing numerous instances of mass massacres of Hindus; and destruction of their temples by Muslim invaders.

Since Hindus never learnt any lesson from history, they faced repeated Muslim invasions for over a thousand years since 8th century; and lost Afghanistan in 987 and present day Pakistan and Bangladesh to Muslims in 1947. Though Hindus fought bravely to defend their motherland, invaders massacred millions of Hindus over the centuries, and destroyed thousands of temples including those at Ayodhya, Varanasi and Mathura; and built mosques over temple sites as symbols of Hindu humiliation and Muslim victory. And these facts are described even by contemporary Muslim historians.

Starting with 1885 when Mahant Raghubar Das of Nirmohi Akhara filed the suit in a Faizabad court, Ramjanmabhoomi has been the subject of lengthy litigation. Various suits claiming ownership of disputed site / other reliefs had been filed by Gopal Singh Visharad of Hindu Mahasabha in 1950, Paramahans Ramchandra Das in 1950, Nirmohi Akhara in 1959, Sunni Central Board of Waqfs in 1961 and Deoki Nandan Agarwal in 1989.

THOSE fake secularists who have suggested the building of a mosque near Ramjanmabhoomi (Ram’s birthplace) Temple in Ayodhya must remember that their suggestion is misconceived and unacceptable since Ayodhya is as holy for Hindus as Mecca is for Muslims. It is relevant to note that no Hindu temple or any non-Muslim place of worship can be built anywhere in Saudi Arabia where Mecca and Madina, Muslim holy places, are located. Moreover, no non-Muslim is permitted even to enter Mecca and Madina.

Sham secularists, Marxist historians and most of media suppress the fact that millions of Hindus were massacred and thousands of temples were plundered and demolished during repeated Muslim attacks on Hindu Bharat for over a thousand years since 8th century; and like many other temples destroyed by Muslim invaders, Ramjanmabhoomi Temple at Ayodhya was razed in 1528 by Babur, one of such invaders.

In recent times, in 1980s and 1990 in Muslim majority Kashmir, while Hindus have been driven out, many temples have been desecrated and destroyed.

As per Valmiki’s Ramayan, Bhagwan Ram is "auspicious, gracious, valorous, resplendent, steadfast and embodiment of Dharma". vide shloka 10 (31) of Bhagvad Gita, Bhagwan Krishna says that He is Ram among warriors. Since time immemorial, Bhagwan Ram has ruled and represented the heart and soul of Bharat. Accordingly, Ramjanmabhoomi has a special place in Hindu heart.

Worst victim

India is the worst victim of terror and aggression in the world.

Will Durant, the American historian, has held Muslim rule in India as the bloodiest story in history by citing numerous instances of mass massacres of Hindus; and destruction of their temples by Muslim invaders.

Starting with a zero Muslim population, Indian sub-continent including the present day India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal, Afghanistan and even a part of Iran was Hindu land till Muhammad bin Qasim’s Arab army attacked Sindh in 711.

Ramjanmabhoomi movement

Ramjanmabhoomi movement is a movement to reclaim Bharat’s sacred heritage and civilisational past.

Ayodhya is an ancient holy place on the banks of river Sarayu. Bhagwan Ram, revered as incarnation of Bhagwan Vishnu, was born in Ayodhya. Ramjanmabhoomi temple has existed in Ayodhya since times immemorial. Even over 2000 years ago, a majestic Ramjanmabhoomi temple was built by Vikramaditya.

In 1528, Ramjanmabhoomi temple was demolished by Babur’s army after a fierce battle with Hindus lasting over 15 days in which thousands of Hindus sacrificed their lives to save the temple. Invaders built a mosque over demolished temple. But Hindus continued their struggle to reclaim the temple site; and between 1528 to 1947, there were scores of battles and agitations to reclaim it.

Partition of India on religious basis and creation of Pakistan (in 1947) for Muslims as demanded by Muslims was supposed to end the Hindu-Muslim conflict in Indian sub-continent. However, though most of Hindus and Sikhs were driven out of present day Pakistan and Bangladesh, most of the Muslims who had demanded Pakistan for Muslims did not go to Pakistan.

In sustained struggle since 1528 to liberate Ramjanmabhoomi, countless Hindus have sacrificed their lives. On December 6, 1992, after a struggle for several centuries, Babri structure was demolished by a very large crowd which wanted the re-building of Ram temple.

High Court’s judgement

Allahabad High Court (Lucknow Bench)’s judgement regarding Ramjanmabhoomi came on September 30, 2010 after centuries old Hindu struggle to regain the holy land.

All these cases were bunched together by Lucknow Bench of Allahabad High Court. To examine the merits of conflicting claims of rival parties, High Court ordered the Ground Penetrating Radar Survey of the disputed site. Said Survey was conducted; and it reported the existence of a very vast structure under the demolished Babri structure. Accordingly, the High Court ordered the Archaeological Survey of India to conduct necessary excavation of disputed site. Archaeological Survey of India’s excavation confirmed the existence of a majestic temple which had been demolished; and which dated back to 10th century. Archaeological Survey of India’s findings have re-affirmed that the mosque was built after demolishing the temple.

The High Court has decided various issues after considering the findings of excavation by Archaeological Survey of India.

Honourable High Court’s judgement is a decisive endorsement of Ramjanmabhoomi; and it propounds that the said site is the birthplace of Bhagwan Ram and that a temple has existed there since time immemorial. It further holds that the said temple was demolished and a mosque was built over it.

But though one of the judges gave entire disputed land for temple, other two judges gave one third of land each to three parties including Sunni Central Board of Waqfs.

Though appeal to Supreme Court for getting entire disputed land for Ramjanmabhoomi temple is being filed, all nationalist individuals and organisations must prevail upon Parliament to pass necessary law for handing over Ramjanmabhoomi to Hindu society to build a magnificent Ram Temple.

Sanctity of Ayodhya

Under the ruse of ‘reconciliation’ and ‘Hindu magnanimity’ and false slogans of ‘India first’ and ‘secularism’, most of media, fake secularists and other anti-Hindu forces have suggested the construction of a mosque near Ram Temple at Ayodhya. However, the said suggestion is misconceived and unacceptable for the following reasons:

Ayodhya is as holy for Hindus as Mecca is for Muslims. It may be mentioned that that no Hindu temple or any non-Muslim place of worship can be constructed anywhere in Saudi Arabia where Mecca and Madina, Muslim holy places, are located. Moreover, no non-Muslim is permitted even to enter Mecca and Madina.

By suppressing and whitewashing the Muslim invasions and demolition of Hindu temples over the centuries, and by advocating the building of a mosque near Ram Temple in Ayodhya, leftist historians and most of media are glorifying invaders’ crimes.

Intimidating insinuation that any one supporting Ramjanmabhoomi cause is communal and anti-India is fallacious.

Those who are talking of ‘India first’ are denigrating India by misrepresenting its history; and by rejecting its ancient heritage, beliefs, civilisation and ethos.

Ram, and not Babur, is the identity of Bharat. And Ayodhya is a symbol of nationalism and cultural essence of Bharat.

Self-righteous ‘secularists’ cannot explain how the re-construction of the sacred shrine, which was destroyed by an invader, is unsecular. Shockingly, some Indians continue to support a structure that was built by an invader by demolishing a Hindu temple.

Anti-Hindu elements speak about a synthetic and syncretic Indian culture to legitimise the aggression against Hindu civilisation; to de-Hinduise India; and to defame Hindus’ efforts to preserve their culture and heritage.

Secularism does not mean extolling the invaders and browbeating Hindus into submission. Secularism can never mean whitewashing the genocide of millions of Hindus and plunder and destruction of thousands of temples by raiders for centuries.

It is outrageous that for perverse secularists, destruction of a Hindu temple and construction of a mosque over it is ‘secularism’; and anything which is anti-Hindu, pro-Muslim, divisive and anti-national is ‘secularism’.

Coming to the ploy of ‘Hindu magnanimity’, one must remember that it is because of their magnanimity that Hindus lost Afghanistan, Pakistan and Bangladesh (which used to be Hindu lands) to Muslims. But now for their very survival, Hindus must follow the principle of ‘reciprocity’; and not of magnanimity.

In this harsh world believing in "survival of the fittest", there is no mercy for those who do not defend themselves. Since Ayodhya is a holy symbol of Bharat’s civilisation, all nationalist individuals and organisations must do their utmost to protect its sanctity apart from saving the Hindu identity of truncated Bharat.
