Fit mind and body required for fighting against evil tendencies in society ! – Sou. Sharvari Repal
Palus (Dist. Sangli) : Women face evil tendencies in society when they go out to work. Capable and fit mind and body is required to fight against such tendencies for which self-defence training is most important, stated Sou. Sharvari Repal of Ranaragini Division of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS). She addressed participants during ‘Shaurya Jagaran (awakening of valour)’ program held by ‘Jai Hanuman Navaratra Mandal’ at Vyankatesh Temple at Palus on 27th September between 6.00 p.m. and 7.00 p.m.
40 young women and 10 young men attended the program. Demo on self-defence training was presented on the occasion. The program was compeered by Sou. Deepa Nikam and Sou. Usha Chavan. Participating women felt that such programs should be held often.
Satara : Representation submitted to stop ‘love jihad’

Satara : ‘Awareness needs to be created amongst people towards ‘love jihad’. We shall certainly take the issue ahead,’ was the promise given by Dy. District Collector Bharat Waghmare. Representation was submitted by ‘Hindutvavadi’ organizations demanding lifting of ban on immersion of Shri Durgadevi idols imposed in Bengal in the background of Moharum. Sou. Rupa Mahadik of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti explained the burning issue of love jihad. Former municipal councilor Sou. Leelavati Nimbalkar and HJS volunteers were present on the occasion.
