HJS conducts counselling session conducted for 10th standard students at Kottayam

Kudumalloor, Kottayam : Hindu Janajagruti Samiti activists took part in a counselling class held for 10th std students of Govt High school, Kudamalloor, Kottayam. Manava Seva Samiti of Kudamalloor took the initiative to arrange a class in the school. They invited activists of Hindu Janajagrtuti Samiti to conduct the class. Kum. Praneeta Sukhtankar of Samiti guided the students and their parents. About 55 people benefitted from the class.

While conducting an interactive session Kum. Praneeta told about the dire state of youth in society and the reasons behind it. She explained that the reason for the present state of the youth was due to lack of importance given to psychological and spiritual health of the youth. This caused lack of confidence and concentration, depression, addictions in students. To reduce the said problems along with a good and healthy family life it was vital to reduce our personality defects and ego also.

She also explained how to reduce unwanted thoughts and to increase concentration. After the class was over the headmistress liked the session and so she allottted sometime for the students and parents to clear doubts if any.

Highlights

1. Many students and even few parents came forward to clear their doubts.

2. One parent was telling that most of the time a counselling session means that one person gives lots of advice normally. But this session was different because it helped the children to understand their problems and how to solve it on their own.

3. One of the organisers commented that the output of this class was that 35% of the attendees were waiting for a personal interaction to solve their problems.
