Devotees prefer to immerse idols after learning science about immersion

Many youth keep away from donation of idols drive when explained science of immersion : Effect of awareness created by ‘Hindutvavadi’ organizations !

Kagal : On 31st August, Shiv Sena, Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) and Sanatan Sanstha jointly undertook a drive at Dudhganga River bank for creating awareness about ideal way of immersion of idols during Ganeshotsav. The drive received spontaneous response from devotees. Devotees were happy to learn the science of immersion and they were firm about immersing idols in flowing water. Anti- Dharma idol-donation drive was undertaken with the help of Kagal Town Council and local youth; however, owing to the appeal made by Shiv Sena, HJS and Sanatan Sanstha for immersion of idols as per ‘Dharma-shaastra’, devotees gave preference to immersion of Ganesh idols in flowing water of River Dudhganga. Many youth from idol-donation drive group left the drive when they understood the science of immersion. As a result, idol-donation drive undertaken by town council was a failure.

Shiv Sena city-Chief Shri. Kiran Kulkarni, activists Shri. Prabhakar Thorat, Shri. Chetak Karikatti; Shri. Vijay Arekar, Shri. Dilip Patil of Shri Shivapratishthan Hindustan and seekers of Sanatan Sanstha participated in ‘Ideal Ganeshotsav Immersion’ drive.

1. Seekers displayed boards with information on immersion written on them. Matter written on boards – ‘Don’t donate idol as it is against science and stop false propaganda of idol-immersion causing pollution’, ‘why is hue and cry made only during Hindus’ festivals ?’ etc. Such boards created awareness amongst devotees and they were appealed to immerse Shri Ganesh idols as per science.

2. Few anti-Hindu persons were forcing devotees to donate idols since afternoon. It was observed by ‘Hindutvavadis’ and Shiv Sena’s Shri. Mhalu Karikatti took the person to task who was collecting idols as donation. He asked the person whether he was working under someone’s instructions but the person didn’t answer and later, gave some evasive replies. It created little tension for some time.

3. A local leader visiting the place warned ‘Hindutvavadis’ that they shouldn’t make it seem like a communal matter but volunteers of HJS firmly told him that what they were saying were facts and not painted as communal matter. The leader then left the place and didn’t return.

Highlights

1. One doctor was carrying his idol for donation when Sanatan seekers explained to him science of immersion. He could not get into water; therefore, he called a staff-member of municipality and asked him to immerse the idol in water.

2. One devotee said to an activist advising donation of idols, “Now, you are asking for idol-donation but whole year, chicken pieces and their feathers are thrown in water but nothing is done about the same and now, you have come to collect idols by way of donations.”

3. Child-seekers Kum. Samarth Sanagar; Niranjan Sanagar; Prem Sanade were immersing idols in flowing water for devotees who couldn’t get into water.

News channels give priority to idol-donation drive instead of immersion of idols !

Local reporters came for compilation of news; but they video-recorded idol-donation drive and didn’t collect any information on idol immersion drive. (It exhibited anti-Hindu policy of news channels and their giving priority to unscientific things. – Editor, Hindujagruti)

Few young activists promoting idol-donation drive left after they were explained about immersion !

Activists promoting idol-donation drive stopped collecting idols by force after ‘Hindutvavadis’ took aggressive stand. Shri. Babasaheb Bhopale of HJS asked the activists, “Where are you when sewage water is released in river throughout the year ? Gutter-water is directly sent to river without any processing;  why the Town Council doesn’t think about pollution at that time ? Why do you remember pollution only during Hindus’ festivals ? At the time of Holi festival, people claim that cutting of trees cause harm to ecosystem and force to stop cutting of trees; but they do nothing about trees which are cut throughout the year in the name of development. People opposing to Dolby, do not oppose to illegal loudspeakers on mosques. Why your love for environment doesn’t last throughout the year ?” Youth collecting idols in donation kept quiet. Shri. Bhopale explained to them science for immersion of idols after which they stopped promoting idol-donation drive ad many boys left the idol donation drive.

Pune : ‘Prabodhan Cell’ receives overwhelming response

Pune : Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) set up a stall in front of Maharana Pratap Udyan on Bajirao Road from 30th August to 3rd September for creating awareness amongst people on matters related to ‘Dharma-shaastra’ which received overwhelming response from people. Hundreds of devotees visited the stall and bought books published by Sanatan so also various ‘sattvika’ products. Boards were displayed at the stall on ‘Dharmashikshan’. Many people read those boards with curiosity.

Sou. Nilima Pethe, Headmistress of ‘Narad Balak Mandir’ from Sadashiv Peth visited the stall. She liked Sanatan’s books. She bought book on ‘Dharmashikshan Phalak’ and said that matter given in the book would be written everyday on the school-board. One couple said that they had never seen such books earlier.

Malkapur : Shri Ganesh idols immersed in flowing water by all

Malkapur (Dist. Kolhapur) : All Shri Ganesh idols were immersed in water owing to awareness created by Sanatan Sanstha and Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS). The awareness drive is being undertaken since last two years and devotees have been responding positively to the drive. Young men, who were promoting ‘idol-donation’ drive, didn’t go to immersion-ghat. Awareness was also created about ‘nirmalya (flowers etc offered to the Deity); therefore, devotees immersed even ‘nirmalya’ in water instead of disposing it of in ‘Nirmalya Kunda’ provided by municipality.

Only 10-12 devotees put ‘nirmalya’ in ‘Kunda’. One devotee had arguments with Sanatan seeker Sou. Rajashree Magar who was appealing devotees to immerse idols in flowing water; but Sou. Magar explicitly explained to him the science of immersion after which the devotee left.
