Rajasthan, Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar and Punjab States have imposed ban on screening of controversial film ‘Padmavati’ but why is Maharashtra Government ruled by BJP not imposing ban on this film ? Why do ‘Hindutvavadis’ have to make such demand ?
Kolhapur : ‘Rani Padmavati’s luminous history has been distorted in film ‘Rani Padmavati’; therefore, ban should be imposed on this film in the district, is the demand made by ‘Shri Shivapratishthan Hindustan’ through a representation submitted to District Collector’s office on 2nd December.
It has been stated in the representation that ‘Rani Padmavati’s role in protection of nation and Dharma was invaluable. Aladdin Khilji was an aggressive enemy. Rajput community’s contribution in protection of Hindustan, when Khilji was invading Hindustan, is incomparable; but exactly perverted history is being shown to people. The filming of some scenes between Khilji and Rani Padmavatidevi is objectionable. No explanation has been given in this respect and attempts are made to release this film but we shall not tolerate such perversion. There is tension all over India against this film.
Shri. Nitin Chavan, Shri. Akshay Sankpal, Shri. Sumit Kapade, Shri. Ajit More, Shri. Anand Munde, Shri. Shyam Dhayawat, Shri. Rohit Atigre and Shri. Atul Shinde of ‘Shri Shivapratishthan Hindustan’; Shri. Madhukar Nazare of ‘Hindu Janajagruti Samiti’, Shri. Manohar Sorap of ‘Hindu Mahasabha’; Shri. Avadhoot Bhatye of ‘Vande Mataram’ and Shri. Sunil Patil of ‘Patit Pavan Sanghatana’ were present on the occasion.
