Viillage meeting of the citizens of Lavale (Dist. Pune) to oppose the anti-culture Sunburn festival

Lavale (Dist. Pune) : Sunburn festival is going to be held from 28th to 31st December at Oxford Golf Resort here; but the villagers have taken the stand by calling a village meeting on 15th December, not to allow this programme in their village as it is against the Bharatiya culture and glorifying the western culture instead. They have passed a unanimous resolution of not allowing the programme in the village.
In the beginning of the village meeting, Mr. Milind Dharmadhikari of HJS made the villagers aware of the perverted form of the festival and how it will cause cultural harm. Thereafter realising the actual loss that would be caused to them, the villagers expressed their resolve to oppose that festival.
Cunning plan of ‘Percept Live’ company to hold ‘Sunburn festival’ under the name of music programme !
‘Earlier the ‘Percept Live’ company that is organising this ‘Sunburn festival’ had asked for no objection certificate for a music programme from Grampanchayat; but it was not revealed in the in the application to the Grampanchayat then that it was the ‘Sunburn festival’. This was like cheating the villagers. So we are cancelling the permission for the programme. Since the citizens of Lavale are opposing the said programme, we will not allow it. Despite the opposition if the organisers try to hold it then villagers will come to street and will not allow a single car enter the venue, is the warning given by the villagers of Lavale in the village meeting.
More than 150 villagers were present on this occasion including, Sarpanch Mrs. Vidya Kshirsagar, Assistant Sarpanch Mr. Vaibhav Kudale, Current councillor of Bavdhan Mr. Kiran Dagade, Grampanchayat members. The copy of the resolution of the village meeting is going to be given to Oxford Golf Resort, Percept Live, Collector and police.
